Our top 50 international client is looking to recruit an experienced Civil Litigator into their market-leading construction practice in Exeter. This prestigious team offers services for all construction/engineering related matters and has multiple members ranked as experts and leading practitioners in their field by Chambers UK and Legal 500.
Your new role
In your new role you will be handling a varied caseload of legal expense-backed-dispute claims involving, but not limited to property, construction, and consumer contracts. Other responsibilities in this role will include renewing and advising on legal expense cover, assisting partners and senior solicitors with more substantial disputes, and monitoring and provision of management information to insurer client. You will also be taking part in building and maintaining effective client relationships. You will be supported well in this team and will be encouraged to deal with clients proactively while working on a steady flow of incoming cases.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be either a Senior Paralegal, Legal Executive, or recently qualified Solicitor with experience, preferably in:
Legal Expenses Insurance Litigation, Consumer Claims Litigation, or Property Litigation.
General Civil Litigation backgrounds are also desirable. You would need to have a demonstrable ability to take on responsibility and manage and progress files independently. You will also be an excellent communicator and team player with great client handling skills. Strong academics and experience of running cases from start to finish are also required for this role.
