About the business
QPTS provide support to the Australian mining and industrial sectors, and we have a number of exciting opportunities for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team! You will be joining our shutdown circuit, mobilising from Perth, with ongoing work throughout 2023!
Your duties
Delivering maintenance support to an array of mining operators, predominately focusing on conveyor belt components
Carrying out the installation of new equipment, or making modifications to existing equipment
Assisting in the execution of daily, weekly, monthly work plans and schedules
Assisting with shutdown coordination and execution
Maintaining a high level of safety awareness and comply with company policies and procedures
About you
We are looking for experienced mechanical fitters, with the relevant qualifications, who have had significant exposure to conveyor belt maintenance. Specifically, you will have:
· Cert III/Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting/Fitter and Turner
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience is required
· Exposure to the mining industry is desirable
· A “think safe, work safe” mind set
· Can-do and solutions-based attitude
· Ability to work autonomously, working toward a common goal
