Role Overview: You will be an Electrical Design Engineer with a passion for electrical/electronic design and product development to join our team in Dundee. You will work on a variety of products that contribute to improving operational efficiency and animal welfare standards, including electric stunning systems, acoustic and electric predator deterrents, and biomass cameras. The ideal candidate should have experience in electrical and electronic design, an understanding of control systems engineering, and a natural problem-solving ability.
Responsibilities:
• Design and update electrical design plans and work schedules to meet project requirements.
• Develop and maintain electrical panel schematics, controls, and system schematics.
• Manage and verify system installations, ensuring compliance with product specifications and safety standards.
• Create and maintain user documentation and technical files for each product.
• Provide technical support to the customer service team and assist with tender responses.
• Conduct research and development, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on various equipment.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Control Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years' experience in the design of electro-mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with PLC-based control systems, either in ladder logic or C-based environments.
• Knowledge of 3-phase supply, distribution systems, cable management, and earthing/bonding designs.
• Experience in PCB layout and schematic entry.
