The role is with the project team on a new industrial and commercial scheme with steel frame offices and industrial / mixed use storage facility as part of a larger £ 200 million 6 year project in its first phase

You will initially be looking after the bulk earthworks and external works / pilling and structural contractors through to drainage and the steel frame buildings with services and associated internal and external packages

The project has progressed well through preconstruction and now the initial earthworks and services needs an engineer for setting out and QA of a number of civils and structural external packages including piling , ground works , structural steel frame and ongoing though to externals and facade works

Applicants must have up to date CSCS as well as experience with robotic EDM and CAD on large steel frame buildings with tier 1 main contractors projects in excess of £15 million in the past

Ideally you will be conversant with subcontractor management and setting out for subcontract gangs on the various buildings, car park and services

This is an immediate start for the right suitably qualified candidate and with potential ongoing work in and around the guildford area till 2029 so security of work is very much likely

Ideally you will be a degree qualified civil engineer from a main contractor background with previous history of 5 - + years on sites. previous experience on industrial or steel framed projects more than £5 million in value and with up-to-date CSCS

My client a World Leading Civil Engineering Company. They are delivering a circa £500m Water Infrastructure Framework and currently recruiting a Site Engineer with a solid background in Civil Engineering projects.

As a Site Engineer you will be responsible for setting out reinforced concrete foundations, retaining walls, access roads, steel and pipework, drainage and other civils aspects associated with new pumping stations, rising mains and water treatment facilities.

Ideally you will have gradated and have at least 12 months experience using a total station in a site based role which will aid you to use your initiative coordinating gangs to maximise efficiency and work-in-line with the programme.

Site Engineer duties include:

• Setting out pipelines, earthworks, and concrete works with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations).
• Manage all engineering activity providing direction to the direct workforce and subcontractors.
• Quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the the design and specifications.
• assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
• Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement.
• Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
• Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocation
• produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD.

Building Services Manager laboratory project
c£400-450 a day - end of 2025 - Surrey
Working for a M&E contractor specialising in providing construction, services and property management expertise in Building and Civil Engineering, Property Development, Private House Building and Financing.
You will be charged with the delivery of MEP services on a Laboratory project in Surrey with a M&E value of around £60M. You will be required to carry out the full coordination and management of M&E services installations of this project working as part of a team.
You will be educated to a minimum HND level in a relevant field with a good level of experience working for at least 5 years within the MEP contracting arena. Mechanical background is preferred.
The role will be the coordination of the installation of Mechanical and Electrical services and management of an on-site M&E team who will monitor the progress of the M&E package managers on site.
An understanding of design and influence in M&E design coordination will be advantageous as would previous experience working on projects within the laboratory/ critical systems sector. The role will also involve the production and implementation of the Commissioning.
