Carbon60 are currently looking for Field Service Engineers to join a large engineering and industrial services provider. The position is based on various customer sites, covering Thames Water Regions in either Sussex or Kent or North London.
Our client is a leading Engineering & Industrial Services Provider with over 200 sites across the UK and Republic of Ireland. You will be working with a business who offer specialised engineering services, offering a wide range of engineering components, technical services and customised solutions across all areas of industry. Products range from flow control, power transmission to bearings with services ranging from maintenance, repair and replacement through to specialist engineering.
This will be field- based, with requirements to work at customer sites.

As this position is a Field Service role, your base location will be your home address. The client's workshop is based in Southampton and on a rare occasion you will attend here to collect tools and materials. We can consider applicants from a wide radius as you will be covering areas as far North as Banbury, as far West as Bristol and as far South as Kent depending on the area you will cover.
You will be supplied with a van and be paid door to door.
Ideally you will have a Thames Water Passport and Confined Spaces however if not, this will be provided.
The activities of the role are the strip-down, fault finding, remedial repair and re-assembly of the following types of equipment on customer sites:
- Large water pumps
- Smaller industrial pumps
- Gearboxes
- Electric motors
- Fans
- Other sundry mechanical equipment
We are looking for both mechanical and/or electrical skilled technicians.
Skills and Experience required:
- You will be flexible and be prepared to work the hours required in a demanding and busy 24/7 service orientated environment
- Participate in call out rota as required
- You will be used to working on site in addition to the workshop when required (Site working experience is a distinct advantage and suitable qualifications such as CCNSG passport is preferable)
- Health & safety will be at the forefront of everything you do
- You will be happy working with a team as well as working on your own initiative
