The role
As a Mechanical Site Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll safely manage the delivery of assigned projects, jobs and tasks while working collaboratively with other team members and station staff.
Day-to-day, you'll produce Work Order Cards, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Quality plans, Construction Plans, Engineering Changes and other documentation required to deliver projects.
- Work to improve Equipment Reliability across Fuel Route including through modifications, optimising maintenance routines and defect resolution.
- Act as the point of contact on the power station for assigned projects
- Review a wide range of plant equipment reliability issues and develop solutions. This may include a review and revision of routine maintenance practices.
- Manage all aspects of small projects lifecycle through to completion, including supporting documentation and commissioning, developing costings/plans were necessary.
- Perform walk-downs with contractors to review upcoming tasks and obtain quotes as required.
- Review and approve contractor documentation prior to them completing work on site.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) and is based on site at the Heysham 2 Power Station.
Essential experience of the Mechanical Site Engineer
- Demonstrable experience of a range of engineering topics or commensurate construction engineering experience - to include all phases of a complex, multi discipline, project.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
