Our products include both optical and RF systems as well as sophisticated image processing & visualization systems. Photonics Ops South has a team of highly experienced engineers, scientists, & technicians who work in tight-knit groups on state-of-the-art projects. This positions requires you to work 100% on-site.

More About the Role:

• The software/optical engineering intern will be part of the Orlando, Florida Manufacturing Operations and Engineering Team; they will gain experience on highly technical revolutionary optical products that utilizes photonic principals to serve the national interests of the United States
• This role will be responsible for utilization of optical equipment, optical test and execution, GUI software, and product verification testing
• Including projects related to optical process and performance, verification test software, and final system environmental and acceptance testing in an SDA regulated environment
• This role will receive technical guidance and mentorship from the different CACI Orlando, FL engineering groups that support the operational progression of the product lines focusing on software and optics
• The software/optical engineering internship will help establish foundations for the selected applicant in space-flight production learning about ISO 9000 compliancy and other industry best practice standards

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• Must currently be enrolled in High School OR a full-time Undergraduate, Graduate, or Doctorate Student
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance
• Experience working in a fast pace exciting team environment
• Curiosity for how things work, and drive to learn more
• Hands-on or theoretical experience with optics and lasers

CACI is hiring an Integration Engineer to support our Digital Transformation, Acquisition, Modernization and Modification (DTAMM) program at Patrick Space Force Base (PSFB), Florida.

What You’ll Get to Do

As technical expert with complete latitude in day-to-day decision-making and focus on Product Support Management and Design Interface, performs systems engineering tasks required for providing IT capability and infrastructure to deliver IT solutions at both enterprise and local site levels within the DTAMM environment IAW DoD, USSF, SLD 30 WR, SLD 45 ER and DTAMM policies and procedures.

• Provides software systems engineering approaches for requirement development and Technical Requirements Documentation.
• Performs requirements traceability matrix development for verification and validation of requirements to be implemented using an Agile-based software development approach.
• Provides inputs for risks, impacts and potential changes to product quality and project scope, schedule, and costs during the Agile software development phase.
• Provides systems engineering, system mapping, and other technical services required to design, model, test, pilot, and implement the systems and infrastructure services, IAW established architectures and security standards.
• Employs a holistic approach to engineering the collective DTAMM effort, using impactful technology solutions and best practices, including risk management, control procedures, and lessons learned.
• Translates requirements into specifications and plans.
• Researches and evaluates new cross-domain technologies and information management trends, initiating vendor engagements, when necessary, to chart potential technology and trend insertions to shape and expand the DTAMM IT capability.
• Assists in planning near and long-term architecture objectives and supports acquisition strategies.
• Analyzes technical impacts to the baseline, and ensures technology insertion fit for purpose, compliance, and interoperability across functions within the enterprise to include cyber security and information protection, infrastructure, cloud, and software systems.
• Supports technology demonstrations and Technology Roadmap maintenance. Develops test plans, conducts integration testing, and certifies solutions for introduction into the production environment.
• Supports operations teams with troubleshooting and escalations.

More About the Role

Position is supporting DTAMM activities at Patrick Space Force Base (PSFB), Florida. This is a telework position as permanent office space at VSFB is not available. However, the selected candidate must reside within driving distance of VSFB with on-site support required approximately once/month.

In this position you will preform the following:

• Lead fabrication process development, documentation, ECOs, process training and responsibility to maintain production yield, quality and cleanliness.
• Interfacing with design engineers to ensure hardware producibility and develop build strategies.
• Drive cost reduction and commit the best process control to make top quality products for customers.
• Directing support personnel in the day-to-day execution of the manufacturing tasks.

• Participating in the ISO-9001 internal audit team;  Supporting customer audits as required
• Participating in all aspects of the Root Cause and Corrective Action process (initiation, investigation, implementation, review)
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to meet program-specific, and corporate goals
• Conducting in-process and final inspection audits in manufacturing and/or shipping as needed
• Conducting regular walk-through audits of lab and production areas
• Coordinating NCMR process including MRB team reviews and material disposition
• Writing quality process documents, work instructions, and inspection guides as needed
• Participating in supplier site-audits and scorecard reviews as needed
• Creating and conducting training on quality assurance topics for all company personnel, as appropriate

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering or related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in electronic, optoelectronic, and/or opto-mechanical product quality assurance
• Experience in small volume manufacturing and the transition to a contract manufacturer
• ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CSQP), or other similar professional certifications a plus
• Solid knowledge of ISO 9001.  Familiarity with AS9100 a plus
• Prior experience delivering hardware for space-flight programs a plus
• Excellent work habits (proactive, responsible, organized, self-motivated, etc.)
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Experience in creating and delivering training to support electro-mechanical assembly.

CACI is seeking a UAS Operations Engineer to support multiple programs. Engineer will provide technical / testing Aeronautical or Electrical Engineer to utilize laboratory test equipment for the verification and validation of UAS electrical products to manufacturer’s specifications. This position will require advanced understanding of UAS systems, subcomponents, and commercial UAS technologies.

• Six Sigma certification.
