We are currently in the process of expanding our operations in Caseyville with a $181 million dollar investment to add 7 new state of the art production lines to our current 4 production lines.
With automated warehousing and robotics at the heart of this expansion, the facility will be a Flagship of the Prepared Foods division. The facility currently produces Jimmy Dean and Hillshire branded retail products, and the expansion will further develop our capabilities.
SUMMARY:
This position will report to the Plant Manager as part of the plant operations team. This member of the team will be tasked with supporting the plant maintenance and operations team with identification and implementation business processes for all of Tyson. The position works within a team environment as a business partner and liaison between Corporate Engineering and the Plant Operations team to implement solutions to existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for process improvement and systems integration. Responsibilities include: Implement modifications to systems and processes to capitalize on opportunities; analyze existing manufacturing processes and systems to identify waste redundancy and process bottlenecks; act as key liaison and support to Operations and act as catalyst to implement change; capable of offering advice to the business with an emphasis on functional expertise and technical experience for process improvement; conduct feasibility studies to define the purpose functions and overall structure of business process; perform analysis of business processes leading to process change and or system implementation to include end user training; creation of proper documentation as required by IS methodologies including but not limited to functional specifications business scenarios and implementation plans; responsible for continuous improvement of functional knowledge and technical proficiency in enterprise applications: Materials Management Quality Management and Production Scheduling as well as the promotion of the effective utilization of technology throughout the organization; assess organizational process capabilities and mentor and train team members in process improvement methodologies and tools; provide management with accurate and timely status reports of all projects assigned to them.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: B.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree OR Master s with B.S. in Engineering or equivalent technical degree preferred.
- Experience: 6 plus years’ experience with Bachelor’s Degree or 3 plus years’ experience with M.S. Degree preferred; Management of Consumer Products Manufacturing experience desired. Knowledge of manufacturing execution in an environment of Supply Chain Optimization Production Planning Detailed Production Scheduling and Process Costing desired.
- Computer Skills: Standard computer skills; Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools required; ability to create written documentation; familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems and SAP MM QM and PP PI modules a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present difficult concepts in understandable terms to all levels of the organization.
- Special Skills: Extensive knowledge of and experience with the business processes related to consumer products manufacturing; excellent leadership consultative and interpersonal skills; organized results-oriented focus.
- Travel: Extensive travel is required.
