Your Main Objective:

As a System Engineer, you will participate in the development, facilitation and coordination of system engineering documentation such as: System Engineering Plans; Initial Capabilities Documents; Requirements Specifications; and Interface Control Documentation. Provide technical support for the development/engineering, interfacing/integration and testing of components of complex hardware and software systems to include: Requirements elicitation; Analysis and functional allocation; Conduct systems requirements reviews; Develop concepts of operation and interface standards; Develop system architectures; and Perform technical/non-technical assessments for TSVCIS Working Group members and various partnerships. You will assist with operational views, technical standards views, and system and services views for related TSVCIS architectures using applicable DoDAF standards. The candidate will support the planning and test-analysis of the DoD Certification/Accreditation Process (as well as other Government Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes.

What Sets You Apart:

- Fourteen (14) years of System Engineering experience

Job Summary

The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports. The Challenge:

As a Business Process Engineer (BPE), you will play a key role in addressing the developing, configuring and optimizing processes of System and Software engineering life cycle. The BPE will analyze existing processes and schedules, identify areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance operational performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate workflows, identify bottlenecks, and propose innovative solutions to improve productivity. You will implement lean manufacturing principles, develop, and maintain all software and systems scheduling.

Duties also include:

• Development of process flows; production of documentation; oversight for CM governance activities​
• Management of systems/software engineering process or business process improvement. 
• Conduct training, leading organizational change, and team facilitation
• Knowledge of business process definition, development, documentation, and implementation.

• Provide recommendations to the program manager for allocation of management reserve to address resource/schedule constraints.
• Coordinate a crosswalk of milestones and interdependencies among projects and/or functional areas (engineering, manufacturing, testing, quality control, etc.).

What Sets You Apart:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university. A Master’s degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, reducing the requirement to ten (10) years of experience. Four (4) years of additional scheduling experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
• Twelve (12) years experience as a Scheduler in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Certification for the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) and/or Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) will be required prior to starting. Leidos will help you obtain this certification.
• Two (2) years of demonstrated experience managing a schedule for an engineering program involving hardware and software development and multiple sub-components using MS Project or Primavera. The CSS Operation at Leidos is seeking a motivated individual to work in a dynamic environment with a team of Cyber Engineers in reverse engineering, vulnerability research, prototyping, design, development, integration, and test tasks to develop capabilities against various networking devices.  This work will leverage your ability to deconstruct and tear-down of a variety of hardware and software, focusing on network devices and technologies, and developing capabilities to utilize the vulnerabilities discovered. The candidate must be experienced in working with a dynamic team of cyber researchers and engineers through all stages of the product lifecycle – from vulnerability research to development and test. This position is contingent upon contract award.
