Come join our Supplier Engineering team that is focused on developing and managing suppliers that perform critical Special Processes on our tools. Special Processes are highly technical manufacturing processes that require in depth expertise in material science, chemistry, metrology, process control and analytical / testing methods. Our engineering judgment is in demand every day as we collaborate with engineers and scientists across Applied Material business units to develop the next generation products and sustain the quality of our current products.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to further your education by working closely with experts in plating, coating, ceramics and cleaning to solving real world problems. Key responsibilities include:
Perform failure analysis and analytical measurements using SEM, Laser / Optical Microscope, Spectrophotometer and Profilometer (training will be provided)
Prepare presentations summarizing analytical results
Maintain analytical equipment to ensure proper calibration
The work is confined to the office and laboratory areas. No work in the field is required.
Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor's (BS) or Master's (MS) in Electrochemistry, Surface Chemistry, Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
Student must be in good academic standing with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
Candidate must be a quick and motivated learner
Compensation
$32 - $41 per hour
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
