About The Role
Alderbury is a 5-bed bungalow based in beautiful Wiltshire, supporting adults with learning disabilities, down syndrome, physical disabilities and epilepsy to live their best life! The individuals we support include John who loves fishing and takes frequent trips out to catch the fish of the day. He loves going into town and having his hair cut, and loves to people watch too. Nicky loves going to the hairdressers and regularly visits the day centre - she loves a good pamper and getting her nails done! We support everyone to visit the the local pub for lunch, go on days out to the park, visiting Longleat and going into town.
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll be instrumental in providing high-quality, enabling care, facing new challenges and rewards daily. Your leadership and expertise are key to our success. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed, person-centered support plans that promote health, wellbeing, relationships, and diversity, while ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Implement robust activity plans that encourage autonomy, new experiences, and flexibility, regularly engaging with individuals to seek their views.
- Support individuals in financial planning, medication self-administration, and regular health reviews, adhering to the Mental Capacity Act principles.
- Tailor the environment to meet individual needs, ensuring Health and Safety policies, including Fire Safety, are followed.
- Recruit and manage staff through robust induction, supervision, and training processes, ensuring person-centered schedules and personal development plans.
- Deliver outstanding care and support by adhering to Salutem's Quality Assurance framework, embodying core values, and managing incidents according to policies.
