Job Posting: Postdoctoral - Nanofabrication and Nanophotonics
About Us:
Joel Yang's Nanolab at SUTD is at the forefront of nanoscience research, particularly in high-resolution lithography and nanofabrication for optics and nanophotonics.
Role:
We seek motivated individuals to join our diverse team of researchers for a 2 year contract, with continuation based on performance. This position offers opportunities to realize radical new ideas and break new ground in aspects related to nanofabrication process and capability development. Specifically we are looking for experts in electron-beam and two-photon polymerization lithography, preferentially with experience working on devices related to nanophotonics and nano optics.
Responsibilities:
As a Postdoctoral, you will engage in diverse tasks ranging from experimental work in the cleanroom and optical bench, to supervision and mentoring of PhD students and project management.You'll be leading research initiatives, plan experiments, innovate, and publish findings in esteemed conferences and journals. This role requires dedication, perseverance, strong interpersonal skills, effective presentation abilities, problem-solving skills, leadership, and accountability.
Qualifications:
- PhD degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, Physics, Materials Science or related fields.
- Experience with cleanroom equipment such as lithography, thin film deposition and etching.
- Preference for candidates with track record of publishing impactful journal articles
- Organized, driven, and self-motivated with meticulous attention to detail.
Duration:
The initial contract is for 2 years, with the possibility of renewal.
Location: Singapore
