Games Workshop has an exciting vacancy for a Manufacturing Research & Development Manager.
We are looking for someone enthusiastic about leading and utilising their skills to manage the R&D team to drive organisational change initiatives aimed at improving business processes and technology.
As an R&D Manager, you will be a key member of our team having the ability to navigate complex situations with integrity and compassion to ensure that we maintain the highest standards in all aspects of our operations while fostering a supportive and empathetic work environment.
Being an expert in your field you will be responsible for developing and implementing R&D strategies aligned with the company's overall business goals whilst using your excellent people skills to collaborate with senior management to define project roadmaps.
Having the ability to navigate ambiguity you will identify emerging trends and technologies to drive innovation and competitive advantage keeping up to date on developments in technology, process and material through an industry, institute, and academic network.
Being accountable for multiple R&D projects from conception through to completion you must ensure your projects are delivered on time, to cost and quality, whilst also keeping an eye on the overall business objectives. This will require excellent collaboration with cross functional teams and strong critical thinking and decision-making.
With a keen eye for detail, you will also create initiation documents and reports for each technical project ensuring a clearly documented plan for each improvement stage as well as having excellent presentation skills to ensure we gain internal and external buy-in.
Your technical background with an in-depth understanding of manufacturing will help you foster a culture of innovation and step change improvement ensuring an optimised manufacturing value stream.
