Coombe Hill Infants School is seeking to appoint caring, supportive, positive, and enthusiastic adults to work alongside individuals and small groups of children with additional needs across the school, there are full time and part time roles available.The successful applicants should be able to show empathy and patience whilst being consistent in their approach and have experience in working with SEND children. You should be able to manage your timetable effectively to ensure the needs of the pupils are met. You will be working alongside pupils in their daily learning, leading individual or group interventions, and supporting teachers and other staff with existing provisions. The candidate must have experience working in a teaching/support assistant role in a primary environment. A variety of strategies and training will be given to the person in the role to ensure that both the children and the staff member are fully supported.

We are looking for; ● A caring and nurturing practitioner who shares our values ● A practitioner who works well within a team, and works effectively with families and colleagues ● A practitioner who is creative, responsive, and effective in their approach to teaching and learning. ● A practitioner with the ability to monitor each pupil's responses and to modify or adapt the learning activities both to suit their needs and to achieve the intended learning outcome. ● A practitioner who has had experience in supporting pupils in a classroom or home environment, with Special Educational Needs (SEN) (desirable but not necessary) ● A practitioner who can demonstrate active listening skills and have strong verbal communication skills. ● A practitioner who is dedicated to establishing positive relationships with pupils and understanding their needs
