Forthview is primary school in the heart of Pilton with over 400 pupils and 64 nursery. ForthviewPrimary School seeks to appoint a highly motivated teacher to join our team, teaching a P4 class.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Hours: 36 per week

Holy Rood is a Catholic secondary school with a roll of 1205 pupils. It is situated in the conservation village of Duddingston to the east of Holy Rood Park. There are six Catholic primary schools within the Holy Rood catchment area, which covers a large section of the eastern side of the City of Edinburgh. However, as a result of parental choice, the current First Year has attracted pupils from a total of 28 different primary schools.

Holy Rood is an inclusive school which respects the dignity of the individual and firmly puts the child at the centre. Attainment data evidences that pupil attainment is of a very high standard generally. In addition, the school has made significant progress in closing the equity gap. Working Pattern: Mondays and Tuesdays.
