JOB TITLE - Geography Teacher

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Geography Teacher for an Ofsted "Good" Secondary school in Swindon.

The school is a medium-sized mainstream Secondary School with a supportive Humanities department. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. The role will be focusing on supporting students across key stage 3 and key stage 4.

The position is open to both NQTs and experienced teachers. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- QTS or equivalent (ECTs also welcome to apply)
- Experience teaching Geography in UK schools
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years

Job roles & responsibilities once fully trained:

- Communicate with users and evaluate technical support issues effectively and provide initial identification of faults.

- Updating of asset information, spares and repairs through fault replacement, repair and the Incident lifecycle.

- Maintaining Records for 3rd party suppliers, booking of replacements and spares used for incident resolution, on-site maintenance and track work across various equipment.

- Assist in resolving basic faults and confirm fault details as part of incident investigation and resolution.

- Update incidents using the Service management toolset and provide updates to the customer, engineers and managers on the status where required.

- Have knowledge of skills and availability of engineers/technicians to allocate and dispatch engineers to progress and update Incidents effectively.

- Provide service support and has an understanding in the delivery of Incident, Change and Configuration management.

- Assist with scheduling of engineering support resources for delivery of contract services

Job roles & responsibilities once fully trained:

- Build, Commissioning, and upgrades of NEC Software Solutions bespoke Communication and CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) products solutions into our customer environments.

- Fault finding our product suite of solution/s at both hardware and software levels.

- When required, create, review and update NEC Engineering documentation, for example workplans, work instructions and technical guides.

- The role holder will be required to work professionally in liaison with several internal teams to coordinate various activities and gather / provide information required to complete the tasks at hand.

- The role can involve extensive customer contact on both a technical and non-technical level requiring a professional and adaptable approach to communication and interaction / service.

- The role will require working both in a team and, potentially autonomously where projects dictate a limited engineering requirement. An increasing level of autonomy is typically achieved after some time in post and suitable experience has been gained.

- Continually follow and adhere to NEC Software Solutions outlined process & procedures.

- Complete all activities within set deadlines and report appropriately any difficulties to achieve delivery milestones.

- Present a professional approach and attitude to all work undertaken.

- Promote a clean working environment. Adhere to all Health and Safety practices, rules and regulations.

You will deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people in education settings with mild to moderate mental health problems. This will be through 1:1 interventions, parent led interventions, groups, workshops, and assemblies. You will work in collaboration with other EMHP's / CWP's to deliver groups, workshops assemblies and staff training. You will work closely with the school mental health leads to develop a Whole School Approach to mental health and wellbeing within your allocated schools.
