Major duties and responsibilities include:

• Develops and provides COR training, ratification training and other acquisition training requirements as defined by leadership.
• Serves as the principal advisor to the NCM on all matters affecting contracting training, systems, and procedures.
• Exercises responsibilities involving work assignment to insure a standard approach is used for training and to identify and additional training opportunities.
• As technical authority, formulates, coordinates and secures approval for complex training products and evaluates impact of training programs on NCO resources.
• Develops and presents contract training concepts and strategies to the NCM and promotes the total contracting vision by soliciting commitments from functional areas within VA and other government agencies and private entities.
• Develops and establishes guidelines and training expectations for all acquisition staff, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee annual performance plan/appraisal system.
• Assists with the development of individual training improvement plans for acquisition staff and provides advice and counsel to supervisors related to staff training matters.
• Participates on national work groups to develop standardized training plans and training presentations for customer and continued education purposes.
• Implements acquisition training data base for all acquisition personnel and CORs.

As a Research Principal-Interdisciplinary, you will:

• Provide authoritative advice and analytical support to the Deputy Director and/or Associate Director, Research and Analysis Center on key mission-critical issues, initiatives and operations.
• Take the lead or is independently responsible for the initiation, planning, implementation, control, modification and execution of all components of statistical and economic modeling research projects and assignments.
• Develop sophisticated economic and statistical models and computational methods to support OFR research, identification and evaluation of risks to financially stability, and evaluation of financial policies.
• Lead teams of Senior Researchers, Researchers, and Analysts investigating technical requirements to monitor risks to the financial system.
• Collaborate with Data Center staff in selecting and designing software for the modeling and solutions of multi-period stochastic programs, with empirical distributions modeled from simulations.

• You will construct and repair high grade wooden items such as cabinetry, research and experimental devices and decorative woodwork for use in offices, planes, ships, submarines, shops, laboratories and other uses.
• You will be required to read, interpret and check plans, blueprints and sketches.
• You will be responsible for minimizing waste and cost when laying out patterns on materials, when selecting and substituting materials and when planning or changing the sequence of the work to cut time.

The Job Corps Deputy Administrator is a self-starter who embodies a positive youth development mindset, has expertise in data analysis and program development, and has experience developing policies and procedures, managing contractors, and evaluating curricula plans for youth programs in a residential setting.

The Deputy Administrator oversees the national office operations, including the development of program-wide policy, education services, program performance, and program monitoring. The incumbent manages and/or monitors resources and budget to support program performance goals that align with agency priorities and works with Deputy Administrator for Regional Office Operations as well as with the regional offices to drive integration of Job Corps into local and state workforce development systems.

The incumbent will work closely with other offices within the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) including the Office of Financial Administration and the Department's procurement office to monitor and execute timely procurement actions.

The Deputy Administrator will facilitate and foster a collaborative approach toward working with employers and Federal, State, and local workforce partners to create a comprehensive and integrated workforce investment system that results in excellent outcomes for opportunity youth with a specific emphasis on racial equity and diversity and inclusion.

The incumbent should have experience in the Federal regulatory process and knowledge of the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act is preferred. The Deputy Administrator will apply this expertise to interpret controlling authorities and develop program-wide policies.

The incumbent strategically manages resources to ensure high performance, greater public accountability, and quality service, emphasizing, racial equity, diversity, and inclusion. As a Program Manager, GS-0340-15, you will be responsible for:
•  Overseeing and directing program evaluation and quality assurance functions to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies to ensure overall program effectiveness and efficiency.

Provides assistance and/or performs work to facilitate actions for major segments of complex intelligence, investigative and analytical activities for a broad geographical area. Gathers sensitive evidence and intelligence information that aids and enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of the United States Capitol Police (USCP) protective security programs and services.

Plans, collects, and analyzes intelligence information from unclassified and classified sources while staying attentive to emerging intelligence sources and trends. Manages the collection of publicly available information in a given geographic region or a specific subject area to meet mission needs using Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) including mass media, the internet specialized journals, studies, conference proceedings, geospatial information and more. Provides support and assistance and/or evaluates and interprets incoming intelligence reports and other information vital to the success of the USCP protective and security programs.
