We are recruiting a Chief Driver Trainer into our Proving Ground team. This exciting role will be responsible for the daily management of our driver training function.
The role will also include but is not limited to:
delivering driver training courses for key customers,
developing new courses to expand our offering to a wider customer base.
The supervision or other team members is key to the role, managing their workflow and ensuring that all training is carried out to the required standard.
Overall responsibilities include project management, preparing quotations and liaison with our commercial team and external customer contacts..
Ownership of operational budgets and monthly reporting on performance
There will also be regular interaction with other team members when working on Proving Ground events or assisting with Engineering based projects.
Maintenance of the driver training fleet of vehicles including the maintenance of customer owned vehicles ensuring they are fit for purpose.
Experience
Experience in a relevant vehicle development or engineering role
Experience of driving vehicles near to the limit of adhesion for testing purposes
Experience of Driver Training
The ability to produce robust risk assessments covering all activities
Data collection and subjective vehicle appraisals
Have a broad understanding of the automotive industry
Technical background (biased towards a Vehicle Dynamics)
Previous experience of working for an OEM or Tier 1 supplier or consultancy
Experience of managing multiple projects, preparation and pricing of proposals
Woking in a supervisory of management role
Experience of improving processes or delivering improvements in a customer focused role
Skills
Demonstrate proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft office applications
Ability to communicate clearly whilst training customers with varying abilities and English language skills
Must have good presentation and communication skills
Ability to multitask
Project management skills
Considerable driving skills and the ability to drive in a consistent manner
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
Formal vocational qualification in vehicle engineering or related degree
Clean driving licence
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Automotive Engineering
HGV Licence holder
ADI Licence holder
