Overview of role
In this role, you will effectively manage others and collaborate cross functionally to deliver critical innovations across multiple projects. You will lead your team to deliver projects and/or capability building innovation to the business. You will also have responsibility for delivery of technical rigor and mastery in your organization. Your team
You will be working with a global team of technical experts while being close to commercial leaders via the Singapore Innovation Centre. You will receive guidance and coaching from Senior Directors on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively partnering with R&D leaders and teams to create & deliver programs and projects against their toughest business and innovation challenges.
- Have ownership of significant deliverables for a project/ program. Responsible for determining priorities, defining the work, and setting expectations to deliver against the business and R&D/project/program objectives.
- Define and solve business needs and problems of considerable scope by integrating knowledge, intuition, and continued hands-on, in-the-lab experimentation as needed.
- Set and re-adjust project direction and approach as new learning becomes available.
- Integrate internal and external innovation capabilities to resolve problems and deliver superior results.
- Role model a “People First” inclusive and respectful
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Science or Engineering fields
- 8+ years’ FMCG or relevant Innovation experience: envisaging, developing and delivering innovation to meet consumer needs and grow the business
- Experiences in applying the science in actual product innovation/ commercialization.
- Proven technical mastery and problem solving: including business, consumer and technical problem (re)definition, hypothesis development and learning plan delivery – leading to successful business outcomes and growth.
- Strong on acquiring up-to-date external information and working with external partners, integrating big amount of information into data-based insights & recommendations.
- Having an ability to envisage the future while finding the common ground and matching the external possibilities with internal needs, to create the joint vision and deliver the end business outcomes.
- Posses excellent international and interpersonal communication and influencing skills for internal and external relationship building and collaborations.
- Proactive & collaborative leadership and highly self-motivated to work across multiple internal and external organizational boundaries whilst maintaining a focus on the consumer and business outcome.
