Teacher of Support for Learning (Senior Phase)

Salary: £32,217 - £48,516 (pro-rata for part time)
Hours: 20 per week
Our collegiate aims are to ensure all young people, regardless of background, achieve their dreams and to empower our young people to become, successful, responsible, confident, and effective citizens of their community and wider society. Tynecastle Learning Community is a diverse, ambitious, and thriving cluster of 4 primary schools, Balgreen, Craiglockhart, Dalry and Stenhouse all feeding into Tynecastle High School. We are complimented by 2 standalone Early Years Centres, Balgreen and Tynecastle Nurseries. The school role is currently 829.

We are looking for an excellent classroom teacher who shares our values and will enhance the opportunities for our learners. The role is a fantastic opportunity to work across a learning community, further develop leadership skills, tackle the attainment gap and will in the first instance, focus on improving outcomes for P7-S1 pupils before extending the successful model from P5-S3.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
