Open Source Research and Strategy Consultant, Junior

This is an opportunity to have a direct impact on government clients. As a strategy consultant on our team, you’ll research and analyze your client’s needs, goals, and potential growth areas. You’ll need to ask the right questions to draw out your client’s objectives and vision. You’ll provide research and analytical support to your team as they show clients what they can learn from commercial environments and how they can apply the most relevant insights. From unrealized potential to systemic challenges, your team will provide your client with a holistic view of their organization as well as the multiple paths they can take to evolve and improve their capabilities. You Have:
- Experience conducting open-source research or market research
- Knowledge of internet-based research techniques and tactics spanning Boolean logic, search engine and database resources, social media, social networking tools, and industry databases
- Ability to ramp up on a range of topics quickly, including emerging technologies, cyber threat intelligence, supply chain risk, foreign policy, financial systems, financial crime, market analysis, best practices analysis, and change management
- Ability to produce deliverables in a short time frame using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Ability to work for national security clients across the DoD and Intelligence Community
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with strategy consulting or change management consulting for federal government clients
- Experience with technology scouting, supply chain risk assessments, or cyber threat intelligence
- Experience conducting outreach to and interviews with subject matter experts from the private and public sector
- Experience researching in a foreign language on websites outside the United States
- Knowledge of financial, economic, or investment intelligence
- Ability to leverage data, analytics, and visualization software tools to prototype solutions addressing challenging client questions rapidly
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $49,800.00 to $102,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
