The Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner role will: Work closely as part of a team of mental health professionals delivering a wide range of evidence informed interventions, under clinical supervision (e.g., guided self-help and parenting interventions) Develop and practice evidence-based skills under clinical supervision to carry out holistic and child-centred mental health assessments, including risk assessments. Develop and practice evidence-based skills under clinical supervision to work directly with children, young people and families. Develop and practice identification of safeguarding concerns, risk management and effective care planning. The Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner is required to: Demonstrate the ability to work at university degree level and have a degree in a relevant subject to the role. Have experience of working with children, young people and their families Have experience of working and liaising with a wide variety of agencies and stakeholders Have experience of working with children and young people who have social, emotional and/or mental health difficulties Successful candidates will be offered a full-time educational programme specifically for the role. The course fees are fully funded, and the salary will be subsidised at NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) at beginning Band 4. For the training year, successful candidates will be employed by NELFT and based in educational settings in either Mid, South East or South West Essex.
