Job Description:
Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Electrical & Optical Components Research & Technology Task Leader (F/M) to join our Electrical & Optical Standard Parts Team, the position is based in Toulouse, France.
You will be part of a team responsible for the design, qualification and support of electrical, optical systems components for electrical systems installation: Cables (copper, aluminum, coaxial, fire resistant) , Connectors, Lugs, contacts, Fibre Optics (Mono and Multi Fiber), Circuit-Breaker, switch, Pressure seals, sleeves, Backshells, conduits
Each system is connected with an assembly of these parts. We manage them from specification to in-service and manufacturing support.
The team is transnational (Germany, India, France) and our parts cover all Systems and all programmes.

Your challenges:
Defining & Deploying the strategy for the Electrical and Optical components for the future A/C Architecture (Products lines approach).
Defining, building and launching R&T projects to derisk future technologies and support the strategy.
Securing, organizing and coordinating the contribution of the team to the different projects to ensure the consistency and alignment with our products lines approach
Developing innovative solutions in-line with Airbus needs
Representing engineering inside the R&T Multi Functional Team (MFT) with Procurement, Supply chain and Manufacturing Engineering.
Managing Suppliers on all technical activities.
Your boarding pass:
Electrical Engineering and associated experiences with understanding of physics between the component design and it’s electrical properties (power and data transmission), with knowledge of high voltage phenomenon (e.g.arc-tracking, partial discharge, triple points).
Environmental components performance (EMI, fluid resistance, fire, corrosion, vibration…) and associated test methods.
Component material properties (e.g. conductors, insulators, shielding and jackets)
Manufacturing methods (e.g. cable assembly).
Modellisation (Physic & Multi physics)
High Innovation mindset and ability to make changes and to challenge the existent
Good communication and leadership skills - Ability to take decisions, to present and defend the position of the team in front of our many interfaces (e.g.Experts, R&T LWPL & Roadmap owners, Procurement, Supply Chain, Programmes, suppliers, Laboratories, ATAxx organizations).
English - high level of spoken and written English is required. French and German would be an advantage.
