A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Trust as an Administrative Assistant within the Research Department.
You should have a good standard of education including GCSEs at Grade C or above - including English and Mathematics or equivalent, with practical admin and clerical application and experience which can be demonstrated at interview.
Primarily based within the Research Team at Bolton, the post holder will provide a first class administrative support function. They will need to possess good organisational skills and the confidence to communicate effectively with a variety of people.
Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload are required to assist the Research Team, who are often very busy with patient workloads.
The post is funded for 12 months in the first instance, and if sufficient funding is identified to continue beyond this period, the post may be extended.
General Administration and use of Microsoft Office.
Use of telephone, ensuring accurate interpretation of messages is conveyed to appropriate. personnel, demonstrating a professional manner at all times
Advising/informing appropriate personnel on relevant patients/staff matters, ensuring attention to detail and confidentiality of sensitive information.
To assist the Clinical Trial Assistants to keep all clinical trial files up to date.
Ensure any source data/essential trial documents are filed to the patient's notes appropriately and within a timely manner.
Book rooms and hospitality for meetings and provide support for various meetings as required.
Check stationery stock levels and order as necessary. Check deliveries upon arrival and deal with any issues relating to stationary orders.
Willingness to develop and learn new skills, embracing opportunities such as processing biological samples.
There will be a structured induction and training program to assist in orientation to your role.
Support and training will be provided to the successful candidates, and development of skills and knowledge around research within the NHS will be encouraged and supported.
