Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The School of Education in the College of Human Sciences at Iowa State University is seeking a Lecturer to teach a doctoral level, superintendent licensure course in the Educational Leadership, Organizations, and Policy Program entitled, “EDADM 6260: Equitable School Finance” during summer session, June 1-August 15, 2024.
The course addresses the role of the federal, state, and local governments in education finance, tax issues, and structures. Other topics in the course include, but are not limited to bonding, budgeting procedures, financial analysis, and accountability. This course requires students to complete clinical fieldwork hours in school district settings and documentation of student artifacts of learning aligned with Iowa’s Standards for School Leaders and National Educational Leadership Preparation Standards.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Doctorate in Education or closely related field
State of Iowa licensure credential for PK-12 Superintendent/AEA Administrator, and/or School Business Official
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional full-time experience as a public school Superintendent, AEA Administrator, or School Business Official
Demonstrated ability to teach at the college graduate level
