Your role as a KS1 Class Teacher
This role is a job share, so you will be required to work collaboratively with the other class teacher. Your other duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Plan and teach well-structured lessons, following the school's plans and curriculum.
- Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress, and achievements
- Make a positive contribution to the school's vision and values
- Maintain good order and discipline amongst pupils, managing behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
- Develop effective professional relationships with colleagues
- Direct, supervise and provide support to support staff
- Take part in further training and development in order to improve own teaching and overall performance
- Communicate effectively with pupils, parents/carers, colleagues, wider school community and governors
What you will need to succeed
- UK Qualified Teacher status (QTS)
- Recent teaching experience in a school
- Knowledge of relevant Key Stages and National Curriculum requirements
- Commitment to raising standards of attainment and equal opportunities across the school
- Hold the right to work in the UK
