Position Summary:
This is a full-time, nine-month, faculty position in the Katz School of Business. The teaching load is 24 credits per year (12 credits each semester). In addition to teaching responsibilities, a Lecturer in Economics is expected to provide service to the Business Economics group, Katz School of Business, and Fort Lewis College.
Job Description:
Minimum Qualifications
- Advanced degree in economics or associated field; ADB considered.
- Ability to teach Principles of Microeconomics and Principles of Macroeconomics.
- College level teaching experience.
- Demonstrated teaching excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to teach upper division courses in economics.
- Ability to teach upper division courses related to finance.
- Demonstrated success working in a diverse student environment.
Major Responsibilities
- Teach multiple sections of Principles of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics.
- Other teaching assignments may be developed based upon the successful candidate’s area of expertise.
- Provide service to the Business Economics group, the Katz School of Business, and Fort Lewis College.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of digital accessibility including the American with Disabilities Act and Section 508
- Produces and remediates digitally accessible materials in accordance with FLC standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $65,000, per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
