About the role
Join Education Perfect as a Business Development Manager for Essential Assessment (EA), our K-6 Numeracy and Literacy assessment platform loved by more than 2800+ schools across Australia.
Part of our high-performing EA Sales team, you will develop and manage a sales pipeline, meet sales targets and identify upsell opportunities across your Southern QLD & Northern NSW portfolio of schools. You will work closely with other EA teams to grow brand awareness of Essential Assessment and ensure exceptional customer service and support for both prospective and trialling schools in your territory. Through your efforts, you will enjoy the satisfaction of genuinely helping teachers and supporting the learning of thousands of students.
Our ideal candidate is based in the Gold Coast or Northern NSW.
What you will do
- Meet and exceed individual quarterly and annual sales targets
- Identify and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities within your portfolio of schools
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and educational departments through in-person visits, phone calls, and online meetings
- Support accurate revenue analysis and forecasting by effectively managing the CRM at every pipeline stage
- Attend local conferences and engage in events to network and promote EA brand recognition in your region
- Share insights from teachers to inform new product developments, content, and marketing campaigns.
About you
- B2B sales experience, preferably in K-6 edtech or educational publishing
- Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets through a mix of hunting and farming sales activities
- A genuine interest in education and a desire to positively impact teachers and learners
- Primary teaching qualification and/or Australian primary teaching experience (desirable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with school stakeholders and decision-makers at all levels
- A valid driver's licence is required for this role, as you'll spend 50% of your time travelling to meet with schools and build our reputation through face-to-face interactions. (The other 50% will be working from home, with regular opportunities to connect at our EP offices)
- A proactive, positive attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Experience using a CRM to manage pipelines effectively, with a commitment to data hygiene
- Experience with HubSpot, Subskribe, and/or Gong (desirable)
