Depot Training Delivery Lead
£26,000 to £32,000 plus benefits (Work Level 6B)
Monday to Friday 8am-4pm, with flexibility to cover 6am - 10pm and weekends
Biggleswade depot
We're looking for a Depot Training Delivery Lead to join us and help us deliver our Biggleswade depot's training plan. Biggleswade depot is still a relatively new depot with lots of opportunity to continue to shape and develop our training culture.
In this role, we'll look to you to create and deliver training, ongoing coaching, assessment, and induction plan for all our colleagues. You'll also provide key support on audits and investigations, as well as identifying training needs. And you'll build relationships and work closely with colleagues up and down the depot, as well as L&D (learning and development) central teams. We'll look to you to act as recruitment lead for the depot and to promote the depots recruitment strategy to the wider business. What you'll do
- Create and deliver the depot induction and operational training plan for all colleagues and leadership teams - constantly reviewing and adapting it
- Build meaningful relationships with depot leadership and management teams to bring them on board and gain full support
- Carry out ongoing assessment, coaching and support of colleagues and managers to improve performance and maintain safety and legal compliance
- Maintain training records and operational skills matrix, and provide evidence if required for investigations and audit purposes
- Identify training needs and deliver any coaching required
- Support with accident and incident investigations, as well as any re-training or coaching required for colleagues involved
- Take part in depot safety forums and support the delivery of depot safety plan
- Work closely with Co-op's L&D teams, driver assessors and training buddies
This role would suit someone who has:
- Experience delivering training and assessments within a logistics / supply chain environment
- Excellent communication skills, with experience engaging and presenting to different audiences in a compelling way
- A talent for building meaningful relationships, listening and engaging with all sorts of people across the business
- Analytical skills, with the ability to work with data to spot opportunities for improvement and training needs
- Good Microsoft Offices skills
