Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to plan, implement, administer, and advise on Voluntary Education opportunities, the Military Tuition Assistance (MilTA) program, career and force development programs, testing, and other education and training services and activities available to military members, Department of Defense (DoD) civilians and family members.

Duties:

• Provides individual career, academic, and force development advisement services to military personnel, dependents, and civilian personnel pursuing Voluntary Education opportunities.
• Serves as technical expert on a variety of Voluntary Education programs.
• Provides advisement and coordination on the SkillBridge program.
• Provides mass briefings and a variety of outreach and customer service duties.
• Performs various administrative duties related to the Voluntary Education program.

SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Education Services Officer (ESO) in providing professional and specialized administrative and technical assistance in the development of the education services program at Joint Base Andrews and serve as a lead professional education services specialist providing general adult educational and career development counseling in a joint service environment.


DUTIES:

• Project Officer for visiting school program and overall educational outreach.
• Project Officer for the installation for the Transition, Goals Performance, Success (T-GPS) Accessing Higher Education (AHE) Track and Military Life Cycle (MLC) programs.
• Administers individual, career, and academic advisement to military personnel of all ranks, their dependents, and civilian personnel pursuing undergraduate/graduate, vocational, technical, licensure/certification, and professional development opportunities at various levels.
• Cost Center Manager for the military Tuition Assistance (TA) program and Government-Wide Purchase Program (GPC).
• Serves as primary Test Control Officer (TCO) for the Air Force Institute Advanced Distributed Learning (AFIADL) testing program and Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES).

1.Performs Combat Arms initial, recurring, and remedial training to all AF/Navy assigned to the National Capital Region (NCR).
2.Performs and enforces the full range of police officer duties within the military installation.
3.Performs scheduling duties for the National Capitol Region (NCR).
4.Conducts Combat Arms/SF armory operations including duties in weapons, ammunition and equipment storage, issue and accountability. Weapons inspector for all weapons assigned to the NCR.
5.Manages NCR ammunition account for Combat Arms training.
