Job Title: Hair and Beauty Tutor

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inclusive hair and beauty lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students.
Develop individualised learning plans and adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
Provide hands-on instruction in hair cutting, styling, colouring, skincare, makeup application, and other beauty treatments.
Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
Collaborate with other staff members, including SEN specialists, to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed during practical sessions.
Organise and supervise practical assessments and examinations.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in hairdressing, beauty therapy, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) is desirable.
Experience working with SEN students is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

To comply with good safeguarding procedures and principles as detailed by the local safeguarding board.
To act as Exams Officer, or second officer, assisting in the organisation and effective running of examination periods.

Job Title: IT Support Field Engineer (Based on Site in South West of England)

Location: Bolton Head Office  

Hours: 08:00-16:00 or 08:30/16:30 (Based on Site Preference)

Salary:  £33,000 to £35,000 per annum

JOB PURPOSE:

You will provide 2nd and 3rd line support services as part of a wider team of experienced engineers to assist with the company's progression. The post holder would be responsible for assisting, fixing and maintaining general service requests, incidents and problems for multiple sites across the South West of England, escalating where necessary and assisting the wider IT Team with investigations and rollouts of new technology.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, major incidents, problems and service requests, providing regular updates to the end user.
To be the first point of escalation for the 1st and 2nd line support engineers.
Liaise with the Software and Applications team on application problems, contributing to remediation and/or improvement plans.
Configure and maintain user permissions on Sharepoint or file servers.
Contribute to building the knowledge base, sharing knowledge across the service desk and wider IT team.
Install applications.
Administer and manage user accounts and permissions (Active Directory/Office 365/Azure AD).
Provide support for printers, both hardware and software.
Configure devices such as laptops, mobile phones, and tablets.
Manage mobile device configurations in Jamf or InTune.
Support Web filtering.
Support connectivity and hardware over multiple sites, both on site and remotely.
Support server environments.
Support of cloud telephone systems and ensure a smooth operation.
Support networking equipment such as routers and switches (Cisco Meraki & Unifi).
Acting as the first point of contact for specific sites and managing site relationships.
Work closely with the IT Service Desk Manager, to define and improve processes and Service Improvement Plans.
Own, monitor and resolve incidents and requests in a timely manner, escalating where necessary to the IT Service Desk Manager.
Liaise with 3rd Line and the Infrastructure team on infrastructure problems defining and agreeing remediation and/or improvement plans.
Conduct root cause analysis of major incidents and problem records, contributing to the implementation of remedies and preventative measures.
Manage and remediate Cyber and Infrastructure P1 incidents.

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Clinician to manage our in-house Clinical Team at our Red Moor School based in Lanlivery, Cornwall, in the South West. The postholder will work collaboratively with both the Clinical Locality Lead and school’s Senior Leadership team. The role will be split between clinically leading the team and holding a therapy caseload. The postholder will be responsible for coordinating the line management of the members of the onsite clinical team. Working collaboratively with the site, you will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our students who may present with complex profiles of need as a result of autism and other types of neurodivergence, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will also be responsible for coordinating the line management of the members of the onsite clinical team.

Location: South West Region

Salary: Up to £95,000 per annum plus £4500 car allowance

About the Role

Acorn Education are looking for a Regional Director. As Regional Director you will be accountable for a portfolio of schools within the division, alongside other Regional Directors supporting our leading services across the UK.

This role has significant strategic and operational responsibility and is charged with ensuring that schools deliver all elements of performance as specified in the individual development plan, budget and group-wide expectations. This role includes the maintenance and improvement of quality, staff retention and well-being, financial performance, sustainability, and growth.

You will lead change initiatives, raise standards and work within a multisite environment to ensure we continue to deliver excellent outcomes for our pupils.

Who we are looking for?

As a results driven, committed professional, you will be able to demonstrate significant improvement in delivering services in your sector. You will have the ability to motivate and develop colleagues, sometimes remotely, to ensure you create stable and supported teams where members feel engaged and confident in their roles. You will be able to demonstrate strong performance management capabilities that will enable the delivery of our group strategy, as well as have experience in managing budgets and achieving financial targets. You must have a sense of energy, pace, purpose and commitment.

You will have extensive experience in a senior, strategic management role. A solid understanding of regulated environments is desirable, but not essential, and you must have demonstrated success in a regional/multisite role. You will be commercially aware and able to demonstrate the ability to grow the business.
