Collective Training Exercise Planner
Key Role:
Serve as Lead Planner for a team that performs advanced analytical and technical scenario design and planning tasks in support of collective training operations. Demonstrate knowledge of Joint and Army Warfighting Functions doctrine, tactics, techniques, processes, and applicable regulations involved in military operations at the Joint and Theater level. Design scenarios to establish a doctrinally correct Brigade, Division-Corps, and Theater level training environment for Combat Support Training Exercises (CSTX), Command Post Exercises-Functional (CPX-F), and other collective training events, in accordance with guidance, unit Mission Essential Task (MET), and commanders’ training objectives (TOs) with detail to support any Rotational Training Unit (RTU). Develop supporting scenario products that include Road to Conflict, Scenario Timeline and Date Conversion Chart, Unit Listing with updated UICs, Base Task Organization, Base OPFOR, Base Unit location, including Graphics, Unit Start Locations, and Unit movements by time increments, Threat ML COA and MD COA, Concept Sketches of Maneuver, Sustainment, Protection, and Health Service Support. Develop doctrinally correct, complete Operations Orders with related maneuver graphics and synch matrices for Theater, such as Joint and CFLCC, Divisions and select Brigades with detail to support any RTU training objectives. Participate in Joint Exercise Lifecycle (JELC) workshops, including Collective Training Scheduling Workshop (CTSW), Training and Resource Requirements Workshop (TRSW), the Concept Development Workshop (CDW), Initial Planning Workshop (IPW) and Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) Development (MSEL DEV) Workshop, Mid-Planning Workshop (MPW), and Final Planning Workshop (FPW). Coordinate all planning throughout the JELC process. Answer all requests for information in a timely manner and in accordance with doctrine.
Basic Qualifications:
15+ years of experience in the military
Experience serving on Army or Joint staffs
Experience with developing Army or Joint Operations Orders
Experience in exercise design, coordination, and execution, including events at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels
Ability to prioritize work and complete multiple tasks under deadlines
Ability to perform activities with a very high degree of attention to detail
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Completion of professional military education, such as Command and Staff College or War College
Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge of TRADOC ODIN and the Decisive Action Training Environment
Knowledge of Current Joint and Army doctrine, tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs), and force structure
Knowledge of the Force Management System Website (FMS Web), Mission Analysis Readiness Resource Synchronization (MARRS), Combined Arms Training Strategies (CATS), and the Army Training Network (ATN)
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
