The principal trainer is responsible for mastering an Epic application and the departmental specific workflows. This individual is responsible for achieving in-depth knowledge of the clinical information software and serves as a bridge between the hospital end users and the Epic implementation staff.

The principal trainer is responsible for mastering an Epic application and the departmental specific workflows. This individual is responsible for achieving in-depth knowledge of the clinical information software and serves as a bridge between the hospital end users and the Epic implementation staff. The principle trainer is responsible for planning, overseeing and coordinating Epic training for all staff and developing the policies and procedures to govern training. The principle trainer develops, builds and maintains the training environment and curriculum. This individual reviews, analyzes and builds the system in collaboration with Epic, hospital business representatives, subject matter experts and end users. The principle trainer will also train some integrated third party applications. Primarily work from home position. Some on site training at various Dayton Children's locations required.
REQUIRED: Associate Degree. 1-2 years experience. Clinical skills and knowledge. Required to attend training and obtain Epic certification. PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree. 3-4 years experience. Pediatric primary care or Clinical Information Systems implementation/training experience.
