We are currently recruiting for adult support workers across the Lancashire area.
We are actively seeking a Lead Support Worker for Supported Living to oversee the daily operations of two sites, ensuring all essential documentation is current and support is provided to staff teams.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Your role will involve supervising support for individuals under your charge, maintaining and regularly updating all client documentation. You will manage the daily operations across various sites, ensuring all essential documentation is current and staff teams receive necessary support.
You will conduct supervisions and annual appraisals for staff, identifying training needs annually and ensuring documentation is recorded and inspection-ready.
Within one month of service entry, ensure all clients have a person-centred plan, and regularly review it.
You will be responsible for scheduling the support staff rota for the property.
Assist individuals in maintaining and developing chosen relationships.
Empower the people we support to lead fulfilling lives in the community, fostering a variety of friendships, activities, and relationships.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
• Is able to communicate effectively with people, including people using services, their families and colleagues.
• Knowledge of the needs and rights of people with learning disabilities and an understanding of the issues people may face.
• Would have experience with challenging behaviour.
• A flexible approach to working hours – prepared to work some evenings, weekends and undertake sleep-in duties.
• Relevant certifications and mandatory training completed within the last 12 months including Basic Life Support, Manual Handling, First Aid, Oliver McGowan and Prevent.
• Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
• Enhanced Adults and Children's DBS on the update service
• You MUST be based in the UK and have a minimum of 6 months experience within Healthcare
