To use a comprehensive range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with patients, their careers and families and colleagues, GP's, and external agencies such as the police; social services; voluntary sectors supporting those with mental health issues. This may include people who may have difficulties with understanding or communication.

To work in partnership with patients to agree goals and treatment proposals, gaining valid informed consent.

Security

4. Monitor and test the College fire alarm system, reporting faults and resetting the alarms as required.
5. Facilitate building evacuations when Fire Alarms have been activated and liaise with emergency services as and when needed.
6. Respond to personal and security alarms.
7. Ensure a record is kept of all alarm activations and relevant departments are made aware of any issues requiring intervention.

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Speech and Language Therapist in the Westbury area to support a Specialist Day School. This service is for Younger People between the ages of 9-18 years who have a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, the successful candidate will provide support Younger People with varied Learning Disabilities including ADHD, ASD, SEMH, Developmental Trauma and Neuro-Developmental Conditions. Speech and Language Therapists work collaboratively within our client's schools and children's homes, ensuring therapeutic support. You will provide consultation, workshops, training, and guidance to the Educational and Residential Teams around their Service Users.

Job Purpose: Speech and Language Therapist
Salary: £35k- £43k per annum + £250 SCS Sign-Up Bonus
Location: Westbury, Wiltshire
Working Hours: 08:30 - 16:30
Contract: Full-Time

The post holder will work as part of the Multidisciplinary Team to engage, encourage, and inspire the Younger People to be themselves.
Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the needs and views of our children and young people are at the heart of everything we do: offering evidence based, holistic and child-centred assessments and interventions across the Three Waves of Intervention and in line with the Therapeutic Focus Model.
• Use advanced specialist knowledge and levels of experience appropriately and effectively across a range of work practices which is underpinned by comprehensive and extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
• To undertake high quality assessments of children and young people and make recommendations about appropriate therapeutic interventions for each child or young person, in accordance with individual assessed needs.
• To provide line management and clinical supervision to allocated Therapies Assistants within the setting and to support Newly Qualified Speech and Language Therapists within the setting.
• To work closely with children, young people, their parents, and staff to ensure a personalised plan of delivery.
• To participate in service and practice development.
• To identity training needs, develop and facilitate training sessions to staff and parents/carers.

Essential

• Registered with the HCPC
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
• Substantial experience working with Younger People in a School Setting

Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a Local Authority, based in the Oxfordshire, which is in need of a Construction Lawyer to join their Commercial Contracts and Procurement team. This role will have a key focus on Construction law.

ROLE: Construction Lawyer

RATE: £40-£55ph umbrella

CONTRACT LENGTH: 3 months ongoing

LOCATION: Oxfordshire - can be done REMOTELY but ideally some office attendance

The responsibilities of the Construction Lawyer

• Handle your own Construction Contracts caseload from start to completion. Also advise on Procurement matters
• The role will have a particular focus on non-contentious Construction contract matters, both JCT and NEC (drafting and negotiating NEC3, NEC4 and JCT contracts)

• Oversee the collation and sealing of contracts

The Person:

• A qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with 3+ years of PQE in Construction Law
• Ideally someone who has worked directly for a Local Authority previously within a Commercial Contracts team
• Someone with strong non-contentious construction contract experience
