We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Assistant to join our team at New Barn School. As a crucial member of our staff, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the functionality, cleanliness, and safety of our school campus. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the educational experience of our students and support the overall mission of our school.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairing tasks.
Conducting regular inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
Ensure cleanliness and organization throughout the school.
Performing regular cleaning duties.
Assisting with grounds keeping.
Maintaining outdoor recreational areas and equipment.
Supporting safety protocols and procedure.
Conducting safety inspections and reporting any hazards or concerns.
Assisting with emergency preparedness drills and procedures.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other staff members to facilitate the smooth operation of the school environment.
Essential:

Full UK driver’s licence.
Good Numeracy and Literacy skills.
Desirable:

Customer Team Member
Location: 4 Monument Close, Essex Street, Newbury, RG14 6QW
Pay: £12.00 per hour
Contract: 20-39 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent, full or part time hours
Working pattern: Varied shifts including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (until 10.30pm) and weekends, to be discussed at interview
