It’s an exciting time to join us: KMPT has been rated Outstanding for Caring and Good overall in our most recent CQC inspection. We are excited to be offering a secondment opportunity for an 8b Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist operational lead to our MHT+ Psychological Therapies Services for working age adults with severe and complex mental health difficulties in Medway. The post is a fixed-term secondment for 23 months and you will be working closely with the Clinical Lead for North Kent. We would be particularly keen to hear from those with experience working with adults with severe and enduring mental health problems, those with operational and managerial experience, or those in established 8a/8b posts and ready to develop these competencies and skills.

You will join a dynamic team of 6 qualified clinicians – clinical psychology, psychoanalytic and CBT, Art and Psychodrama psychotherapies. The post requires you to lead the team on peer supervision and a monthly CPD space. We have good liaison with the local doctoral training course in Clinical Psychology with Chris Church University and other psychotherapy educational organizations and have a rotation of first and third year trainees' placements available annually.

You will have operational lead responsibilities for the service, and manage those in the team. Your will have your own caseload of assessment, individual and group interventions. Experience of Mentalisation based psychotherapy, Structured Clinical Management and EMDR are welcome in addition to core training competencies. Formal HEE funded training will be available for those interested. In addition to expected delivery of psychological therapy you will have leadership roles developing the Pathway of Care with colleagues in the wider team, delivering training and supervision, and you will be working collaboratively with those in the wider team in line with the CMH Framework and the Transformation and working closely with the lead of the service to develop these agendas.

As the service works closely with the wider team there is ample opportunity to learn about organisational dynamics and delivery of care. As a senior team member you will be part of the Psychological Therapies leadership team, representing our service in meetings, discussing appropriateness of referrals with the wider community team and influencing service delivery. The service meets weekly for peer supervision and business/clinical governance, and has a CPD programme on a monthly basis to develop further.

The successful candidate will hold a doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology, or equivalent for psychotherapists, experience in secondary care and management, and have membership with relevant organisation such as HCPC, BABCP, BPC or UKCP.

Role Overview:

The purpose of the post is to provide effective and comprehensive higher level business support to the Digital Skills Curriculum team within the Lifelong Learning service, by working as part of a team, through the provision of more service-specific administration duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, maintain, update and check for accuracy, Curriculum specific learner tracking systems (databases and spreadsheets) to ensure the Digital Skills curriculum team are fully compliant with the grant funded allocation. (GMCA)
  
• Run specific data reports and checks using a range of MIS systems to analyse learner data including class allocation, guided learning hours, qualification aims, progression and results.
  
• Deal with and respond to higher level complex learner queries and give the correct and compliant Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) including funding eligibility, language support, childcare support, learner support, and know how and when to refer to external specialist services.
  
• Support staff with new systems including demonstrating how to use and input onto these correctly thus enabling them to become independent end users.
  
• Liaise closely with Curriculum Manager and Programme Leaders to update and advise of anomalies, compliance, actions taken to date and any further actions required that may need communicating to the wider team.

Key Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:

• Experience in providing higher level quality business support combined with excellent administration, ICT skills and organisation skills.
  
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to efficiently and courteously respond to higher level complex queries.
  
• Have the ability to work under pressure to meet compliance demands and service needs.
