• Performs the basic technical processes entailed in dispensing prescriptions including review of patient chart to determine appropriate the number of medications, quantities to be dispensed and dosages are within acceptable ranges based on patient age and weight.
• Verifies identity of patient, reviews all medications with patient using the IHS consultation method.
• Entry of data accurately into the computer for proper prescription labels, medication data for billing functions and medication profiles.
• Receives and fills ward and clinics supply orders for a wide variety of items stocked in the pharmacy
• Performs routine tours of patient care areas to pick up orders for pharmacy and to ascertain replenishment needs of nursing units or outpatient clinics
• Performs the many functions required to maintain the pharmacy inventory in proper amounts and under proper storage conditions on the wards and in the pharmacy.

Starting at $48,448 Per Year (GS 4-6)

• Works with landowners to develop conventional conservation plans addressing resource concerns; provides information concerning Farm Bill and State Conservation Programs; and develops conservation contracts according to the NRCS manual.
• Understands all applicable NRCS and Farm Bill programs available to address resources concerns and explains cost-share programs and payment procedures to applicants and contract holders.
• Conducts regular follow-up on all scheduled practices assigned; develops operation and maintenance agreements for all structural practices planned and contracted.
• Performs annual contract reviews on all assigned contracts to ensure contract schedules are followed and that practices are being maintained according to NRCS standards and specifications.
• Recommends practices to farmers and ranchers which help control erosion and conserve soil and water.
• Fully utilizes computer and web-based programs in the documentation and management of conservation plans and technical assistance by the service center.

• Review patient accounts to determine the status of account and make standard adjustments that require special analysis and prepares and processes a variety of documents necessary for the maintenance and follow-up of all outstanding patient accounts.
• Review delinquent patient account records, follows up with responsible parties via telephone and correspondence according to organizational internal control policy.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports utilizing Accounts Receivable program; efficiently handle and maintain daily workload in accordance with established work flow process.
• Perform the full range of technical duties regarding the authorization and re-processing of claims for payment.
• Provide technical direction to other Business Office staff.

• Provides professional accounting advice and assistance to supported organizations and lower graded accountants and/or accounting technicians in the resolution of diverse, complex, or controversial accounting problems.
• Interprets, develops, adapts, modifies, or integrates accounting and financial policies and procedures.
• Assists in the implementation of new procedures or policies to ensure compliance with established financial accounting requirements.
• Identifies problem areas and determines actions required to improve operating program effectiveness, ensure the propriety of accounting transaction processing, and maintain the integrity of accounting records and financial information.
• Provides technical advice and training to technicians and program managers regarding the processing of accounting transactions or reconciliation of accounting/financial reports.
• Analyzes reports for data integrity, completeness, consistency, and conformance with regulatory directives/procedures and correction of errors prior to final reports release.
• Examines internal controls systems and analyzes/evaluates effectiveness, adequacy, and interrelationships within/among segments of the system and other segments within the organization.

Functions as a Warehouse Worker in the Food Service Department at the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) federal correctional facility.

Responsible for supervising inmate workers who receive, store, and issue a wide variety of supplies, material, equipment and commodities required in the operation of the Food Service Department.

Responsible for clerical, Funds Control, Time and Attendance and budgeting duties as assigned by the Food Service Administrator and is expected to apply a working knowledge of policies and procedures as related to this office and the food service aspect of the institution.

Responsible for delivery follow-up on outstanding purchase orders placed with commercial vendors.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staffs correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
