• To liaise with social services and other professionals in terms of specific and general service delivery, support, accommodation etc, and to respond to any complaints/issues they have in a timely manner.
• Participate in service developments including planning, control, monitoring, review and evaluation activities to ensure continuous improvements in service delivery.
• To ensure that all young people, and staff are treated in accordance with the Equal Opportunities policy, and fairly with consideration of their cultural, religious and physical needs.
• To provide on-call assistance as required to staff, social services and management.
• To ensure all safeguarding issues are addressed and signposted in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and liaise with team members to ensure cohesive and compliant delivery of service.

Requirements for the Role

• NVQ Level 3 in Children's Social Care and/or equivalent, or willing to work towards one within a set timeframe.
• Knowledge and understanding of The Children's Act and Children's Social Care system preferred
• Driving Licence
• Must have previous experience and working with a young people within the care setting
• Strong communication skills, in particular the ability to influence, persuade and negotiate at all levels
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Must be able to travel across a large geographical portfolio on a daily/weekly basis

What you'll do: Join our team at Maidstone (A26 / Wateringbury) Premier Innas a Receptionist, and use your passion for customer service to its full potential. Be part of the UK's leading hospitality business, Whitbread.

Once your pre-employment checks have been completed you will be contacted by Recruitment to arrange your start date which will be in line with one of our Corporate Inductions. Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trusts Clinical Induction Programme for Clinical Support Workers (which starts on the first day of employment). The programme is full-time (please contact the CSW Induction Programme Lead if this is going to be problematic:rallen@nhs.net), lasts for two weeks and will involve travelling to both Trust sites. The programme includes 2 supernumerary shifts in the clinical area (an early and a late shift), all of the other days are classroom-based and run from 9am to 5pm. Please note that appointment to this post will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service Check at Enhanced Level. (Enhanced level now includes regulated checks against vulnerable adults and children).
