The Field Service Engineer role will be suitable for engineers from any kind of plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment. What Will You Be Doing?

As a Support Worker, you'll play a key role in enhancing the lives of these individuals, ensuring they have the opportunity to experience new activities and fulfill their goals. Responsibilities include:

- Empowering Independence: Provide active support to keep the gentlemen engaged, with some 1:1 support for the youngest resident.

- Daily Living Support: Assist with varying levels personal care, meal preparation, and medication as needed.

- Social Engagement: Whether it's helping them get to the day center, cheering them on at the Friday disco, or supporting them in exploring new hobbies, your proactive and social approach will make each day exciting and fulfilling.

• This is a temporary to permanent position, once you have booked 487.5 hours of work through Newcross, you will be transferred across to the client as a permanent employee

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

You will be providing support to children and young people in full-time residential care with learning disabilities and complex needs.

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to team meetings for staff development and communication
• Provide care and support to young people, helping them engage in education and social activities
• Assist with day-to-day tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and organising social activities

What we’re looking for:

• Either an NVQ Level 2 or 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or substantial prior experiene of supporting children and young people in residential care
• A minimum 12 months of experience in a residential setting working with children and young people

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be working as part of the care team, recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents, conduct formal supervisions and appraisals, as well as, contributing to care planning and coaching support workers. With an emphasis on high quality, the purpose of the role is to maintain the personal care needs of residents, respecting the dignity of the individual and promoting independence.

Reports to: Home Manager/Deputy Manager/Nurse

Qualifications

- You will have, or be working towards, NVQ3 in Health & Social Care.
