Job Purpose

To manage and maintain the school premises ensuring they are clean, secure, safe and well maintained at all times. Responsible for a wide range of duties and responsibilities connected with the fabric and grounds of the school.

Main Duties:

Locking and unlocking the buildings as required.
Setting up facilities such as chairs, tables, garden area etc.
Dealing efficiently with pre-planned maintenance, day to day establishment requirements and being reactive to problems that may arise.
Undertaking repairs to fixtures and fittings.
Ensuring all plant equipment is maintained to the required standards.
Grounds maintenance.
Assisting with the organisation of the school refurbishments.
Porterage around the school site.
Monitoring the premises for any hazards, carrying out repairs or reporting problems where necessary.
Ensuring that all stakeholders adhere to the school’s Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.

To provide women/family centred education, care and empowerment and to document all care given. You will be an important member of the maternity team working alongside midwives, nurses and other health professionals in the hospital and community setting. Key Responsibilities Support women in feeding their babies using evidence-based information, in line with the Trust Infant Feeding Policy Understand the barriers to breastfeeding and support and empower women to overcome these Support women with more complex breastfeeding needs eg; multiple births, premature babies Liaise with the Infant Feeding team/Lead to instigate & implement feeding management plans where required and review. You will be an important member of the maternity team working alongside midwives, nurses and other health professionals in the hospital and community setting.
Key Responsibilities• Support women in feeding their babies using evidence-based information, in line with the Trust Infant Feeding Policy
• Understand the barriers to breastfeeding and support and empower women to overcome these
• Support women with more complex breastfeeding needs eg; multiple births, premature babies
• Liaise with the Infant Feeding team/Lead to instigate & implement feeding management plans where required and review.
• Ensure necessary equipment is maintained/ ordered and in good working order, including updated information leaflets
• Document and put plans in place with all care given on Badgernet
• Provide support to parents in a group setting or individually in relation to both the initiation and continuation of breastfeeding and preparing for responsive parenting
• Provide breastfeeding support in all other clinical areas when required eg; Children’s Wards, Neonatal Unit or Emergency Department (ED)
• Participate/facilitate antenatal education related to infant feeding and relationship building, both in hospital and community settings, including 1-1 with parents.
• Provide telephone breastfeeding support for women following discharge from hospital, including following up readmissions.
• Covering as required the Infant feeding phone calls and action as required.
• Work within defined sphere of responsibility, referring appropriately in cases where more senior input is required
• Support the Infant Feeding team with their ongoing audit commitment
• Support the Maintaining and sustainability of the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative standards at Epsom & St Helier NHS Trust, including assisting with the organisation of special events

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated Care Home Liaison Nurse Band 6 to join the Care Home Support team working in SDHC. Your expert clinical skills, knowledge and professional growth are key to ensure high standards within community services are maintained.

Working across organisational boundaries and as an integral part of the Surrey Downs Health and Care System, the integrated health and care team will be responsible for providing rapid access, enhanced, short term health and care support for people who would otherwise need emergency hospital admission as well for as those medically stable to return home from an acute hospital but requiring enhanced short term support as one stage in their on-going care pathway. The Home First Service operates as a 7 day service.
• Establish and foster improved working relationships with local partner organisations that have similar interests/functions in improving the quality of care homes and discharges from the acute hospital.
• Reduce the need for care homes to escalate care unnecessarily to A&E, nursing home setting, acute inpatient facility or consider discharging clients prior to exhausting a coordinated strategy to stabilise and improve the case concerns for both clients and care homes.
• Recognising the relationship with other services with the SDHC organisation and appropriately referring on to those services where assessed as appropriate (UCR,VW,CTT and QICH)
• Deliver well-being and recovery focussed interventions in the least restrictive care plan possible, in collaboration with the care home staff, clients families
• Support service users in their transition from home or other setting to a care home the post holder will provide an accessible, appropriate, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective liaison nursing service to patients residing in a Care home. This includes those being discharged from acute, tertiary care or transferring from the community to a care home setting. Working in partnership with Care Home staff the post holder will support General Practitioners and other colleagues to support the transition either to a new care home or returning after and admission to the Acute .

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Manager to join our dynamic team within medicine.

The post holder will manage the administration offices and the central administrative function(s) and provide a senior point of contact to A&C staff, enabling patients to receive treatment in accordance with the NHS Constitution and the Health and Social Care Bill 2011. The post holder will work closely with the clinical and nursing leads to ensure a high standard of patient care is delivered within clinical directorates in line with the Trust policy and standard operating procedures.

The post holder, working closely with the Service Manager, will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of patient care within their directorate. The post-holder will be expected to identify and implement initiatives to improve services, with delegated responsibility from the Service Manager, and lead designated projects to ensure key performance targets (financial, operational and clinical) are met.

We offer an extensive range of services,including cancer, pathology, surgery, and gynaecology to 500,000 people in south west London and north east Surrey. We operate two busy general hospitals, Epsom Hospital and St Helier Hospital, and run services from other locations, including Sutton Hospital.

St Helier Hospital is home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary's Hospital for Children, while Epsom Hospital is home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC).
