Having commenced on an ambitious construction plan at Midlothian Snowsports Centre you will support the Operations Manager and Team at what will become a global destination for outdoor Snowsports and adventure.
We are nearing completion of the first phase of upgrading and adding the following facilities and activities;
- Alpine Coaster
- New road & junction
- Upgraded car parking facilities.
You will play a key role in establishing our operational practices, striving for excellence in all we do and the ultimate success of the facility
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated team player to join the Sport & Leisure team, someone who can see the opportunities ahead and can take their teammates with them on that journey.
KNOWLEDGE
The minimum essential qualification is a degree level qualification in management/leisure management or 10 years working in a snowsports/activity environment.
Coaching certificate in Snowsports minimum BASI II and First Aid at work with experience of administering First Aid.
Technical understanding of mechanical uplifts and ropeways. Extensive H&S of Ariel Ropeways and snowsports slopes covering management and maintenance.
Experience of coordinating and managing large events. Staff supervision and utilising IT packages, including Word and Excel software.

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.
Based on 36 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £36,311.02 per annum.
Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard.
