The Role

Key purpose of the role is to develop, manage and monitor the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) performance of the company.

There are 5 ELM Officers across England, one for each of the Forest Services area teams. The advertised post is for an ELM Officer for East and East Midlands.

Although part of the National ELM Team, ELM Officers are imbedded into the regional teams and work hard to build relationships with Forest Service Area Team staff who are delivering the Forestry Commissions incentives and regulations.

You will regularly attend meetings and events based within your regional area, virtually and in person throughout the year. If area teams have questions / require support on ELM grants, ELM Officers act as a conduit to the national team ensuring area teams have access to the resources they need. Your role may require you to support area teams in internal or external meetings with stakeholders either virtually or in person in your area. Working with area teams and their network of local stakeholders to understand regional challenges and opportunities, gives ELM Officers insight that can be used to support the ELM team in the design and delivery of the forestry elements of DEFRA’s ELM schemes.

You will support National team colleagues in their work to design and deliver ELM schemes by feeding back the information you have gathered from operational staff in the area teams. The projects vary from infrastructure, network connectivity and Windows rollout. You will lead project meetings, monitor and report on progress, working closely and collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
You will also contribute to the development of Scope of Works and Statement of Works as well as developing and agreeing key metrics for upcoming projects.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience working with ICT suppliers in an outsourced environment.
• Ability to prioritise, deliver to agreed deadlines and manage expectations.
• Conversant with ICT Service Desk ticketing software.
• Appreciation of project management methodologies.
• Working knowledge of project and service delivery management frameworks, with reference to project management and change control.
• Understanding of ICT related data legislation.
• Knowledge of quality management and improvement approaches.
• Evidence of successfully implementing complex ICT projects.
• Able to undertake a DBS check

About the Role
They are currently seeking 10x Customer Support Officers with HelpDesk experience to join their Contact Centre in either Parramatta, Bathurst, Wollongong OR Newcastle. These are an estimated 6-month temporary assignments, with a potential to extend.
