Main Tasks and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by members of the practice navigation team may include any or all of the items in the following information. Duties may be varied from time to time under the direction of the practice management, dependant on current and evolving practice workload and staffing levels: Book appointments ensuring that enough information is recorded for clinician to follow, using the navigation protocols provided. To act as first point of contact for patients and visitors. Have a thorough knowledge of the practice and all policies and protocols relative to the role. Answering general enquires, explaining surgery procedures. Demonstrating up to date awareness of the various range of services the practice/community provides. Advise patients of relevant charges for private ( non-General Medical Services) services, accept payment and issue receipts for same. Deal with patient request for registration as per the practice protocol, explaining practice arrangements and formal requirements. Process patients E Consult information and action accordingly. To respond effectively to any accessibility needs of patients and visitors. Dealing with all the surgery post Maintaining confidentiality and data security at all times. Be fully conversant with the Practice computer system (currently EMIS) including Microsoft Office and NHS Mail. To follow opening and closing procedures Keeping the reception area, notice boards and leaflet dispensers tidy and free from obstruction and clutter. Support patients to use the self-testing station. Attend training sessions and participate in team meetings.

Placement Officer

Location: Bristol
Contract: Initial 4-month contract, Full-Time (37 hours per week)
Hourly Rate: £16 Umbrella per hour (£13 PAYE)

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Placement Officer on an initial 4-month contract, based in Bristol. This is a full-time role (37 hours per week) offering a competitive hourly rate of £16 umbrella per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and negotiate suitable care packages for children that meet their needs while ensuring value for money.
• Manage a busy workload, including handling the duty desk and prioritising new referrals effectively.
• Oversee a caseload of placement searches, ensuring placements are found and confirmed in a timely manner.
• Prepare and present reports and options appraisals to the Head of Service and Service Director for placement approval.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure administrative tasks comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Review and evaluate referrals to ensure they meet quality standards, providing feedback and challenges when necessary to secure well-matched placements.

Essential Requirements:

• EITHER: A relevant level 3 qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or relevant A-levels)
• OR: Equivalent knowledge gained through relevant experience.
• A good understanding of the types of specialist services available for children and how these services impact placement decisions.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Oasis Academy Long Cross for an enthusiastic and caring individual to provide support for learning activities on an individual or small group basis in our Academy, under the direction of the line manager.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable Learning Support Assistant to join our highly skilled team, who is committed to providing outstanding provision for children. We need a resilient, positive practitioner who shows a good understanding of child development and a clear knowledge of the curriculum.
Candidates will be expected to have at least an NVQ2 or equivalent qualification or be working towards this and experience of working with children in either a mainstream or special school provision.
