Provide administrative support to managers and teams, including scheduling, managing calendars, and organising meetings.

• Perform fieldwork in frontcountry and backcountry settings, may encounter inclement weather, wildlife and work in low desert and/or mountainous terrain above treeline.
• Backpacking to remote field locations may require up to 10 nights of overnight travel on a monthly basis. Ability to carry up to 50 pounds a minimum of 10 miles. Shovel testing and new inventory anticipated.
• Complete extensive archival research and database searches in an office setting to write cultural contexts for archeological reports.

• Track project assignments for initiation and completion.
• Work with GIS software, variety of GPS field collection equipment and manipulation of data to produce accurate maps of sites and inventory.

At Mesa Verde National Park, selectee will lead a variety of cultural resource projects, including archeological surveys and site documentation, condition assessments, and site monitoring. Selectee will be responsible for maintaining related site records and databases including Cultural Resources Inventory System (CRIS) and managing GIS databases. Sites are predominately Ancestral Pueblo, but also include historical sites related to Ute, Diné (Navajo), and early park uses.

At Zion National Park, selectee will lead a variety of cultural resource projects, including S110 archeological surveys and site documentation for trails and other cultural resources, develop cultural contexts for trails, complete condition assessments and site monitoring, maintaining related site records and databases including Cultural Resources Inventory System (CRIS) and GIS database management. Sites range from 8000 BP (middle Archaic) to NPS Modern Period (Mission 66).

• Receives notification and referrals for non-IHS and IHS referred care through hard copy or the automated referred care system

What you’ll do at work
Taking care of administrative tasks such as filing, printing, writing letters and corresponding with emails
Processing and inputting orders, MOTs
Quotations to customers via email and telephone calls
Answering the phone and booking customers in.
Dealing with customer queries
Building a good rapport with customers
Keeping and maintaining accurate and organised records
Dealing with invoices and assisting with book keeping
