PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Supports FMCNA's mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy.  Adheres to the FMCNA Compliance Program, including following all regulatory  and policy requirements.

Assists physicians in performing all types of interventional radiology procedures.  Responsible for the operation and quality control of the radiological equipment in accordance with FMC policies, procedures and training.  Assists with the inventory and ordering of supplies.

• Performs various activities necessary for the preparation of the patient and the procedure room for the radiology procedures in compliance with FMCNA policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.

• Reviews patient specific procedure orders to determine materials/supplies that will be needed.

• Sets up/ stocks the procedure room/procedure trays with all needed supplies and interventional equipment prior to procedure and cleans procedure room post procedure, including cleaning of equipment/machinery.

• Conducts all necessary preparations of the patient procedure room and documents when appropriate.

• Explains procedure to the patient, answers questions and addresses patient concerns.

• Assists with preparing the patient for the surgical procedure by positioning, shaving and prepping.

• Performs patient transfers and positioning of patients and transports patient to and from procedure room.

• Inputs patient data into the C-Arm.

• Acts as scrub assistant assisting the physician during interventional procedures under fluoroscopy; maintaining a sterile technique according to the established company policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.

• Complies with HIPPA policies and standards in regards to patient confidentiality.

• Draws up intravenous medication and labels as per Medication Labeling Policy in the Sterile Field Competency.

• Processes x-ray images and archives to a CD or DVD to comply with FMCNA policies and procedures for patient medical records and state regulations.

• Provides outstanding quality of patient care by supporting and driving FMCNA quality standards through meeting regulatory requirements and the practice of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), including use of FMCNA CQI tools.

• Assists with implementing FMCNA quality goals and facility specific action plans in order to achieve FMCNA quality standards.

• Ensures medical records are accurate, complete and in compliance with FMCNA policies and procedures.  Maintains integrity of medical records, filing paperwork in patient files according to policies and procedures and performing audits on a regular basis.

• Assists with maintaining environmental integrity and aesthetics.  Ensures all areas are clean, sanitary and safe on a daily basis Ensures all facility equipment and instruments are in proper working condition by inspecting equipment on a daily basis before and after procedures.

  • Makes recommendations regarding replacement of equipment and repairs.
  • Assists with disposal of hazardous waste materials, dirty linen and rugs.
  • Prepares, organizes, and efficiently utilizes supplies and equipment to prevent wastage.

• Attends and participates in Governing Body, assisting with meeting agenda and gathering of data/material for meetings.

• Ensures effective communication with physicians.

• Attends and participates in CQI meetings with physicians, reporting on assigned topics.

• Works with the physicians and staff to ensure all necessary instruments and equipment are on hand.

• Addresses physician concerns in areas of responsibility.

• Assists in training and orienting new employees on the equipment.

• Ensures patient billing is accurate and timely by reviewing all procedures, documenting patient equipment charges and verifying CPT and ICD9 codes are correct.

• Assists with inventory, ordering of supplies and re-stocking of supplies.

• Acts as Radiation Safety Officer; monitors radiation badges and conducts in-services regarding Radiation safety.

• Participates in all facility regulatory and accreditation surveys and action plans to address any deficiencies identified.

• Evaluate vascular access for patency and report any unusual findings to nurse supervisor.
• Obtain necessary pre and post treatment vital signs and weight.  Report unusual findings to nurse supervisor.

• Perform vascular access cannulation and report any difficulties in cannulation or unusual findings to nurse supervisor.
• Perform administration of Heparin as delegated or as allowed by state law.

• Evaluate intradialytic problems and provide intervention as prescribed by physician order or as directed.
• Monitor patients' response to dialysis therapy and report any unusual findings to nurse supervisor.
• Obtain vital signs prior to reinfusion; perform all relevant functions necessary for the discontinuation of treatment - document.
• Discontinue dialysis treatment according to established procedures
• Evaluate patient prior to termination of venous access - standing & sitting blood pressure.
• Obtain Hemostasis and apply appropriate dressings.  
• Evaluate the patient for prior to discharge and report any unusual findings to nurse supervisor.
• Perform and record Pre and Post dialysis evaluation weight and vital signs with initial identification.
• Responsible for calculating and entry of individual patients' dialysis machine programming for Ultrafiltration (UF) goal; treatment time; Sodium (Na) modeling; and UF modeling as prescribed.
• Responsible for ensuring appropriate safety alarms are enabled including Narrow Venous Limits (NVL) 160.
• Record accurate and timely information regarding vital signs and treatment parameters onto the Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet with initial identification.
• Responsible for accurate documentation of information related to patient treatment including completion of Hemodialysis Treatment Sheet and if applicable progress notes.
• Report any significant information and/or change in patient condition directly to the nurse supervisor. 
• Observe patient and conduct machine safety checks according to facility policy.  Report any change or unusual findings to the nurse supervisor.
• Perform and document any intervention for unusual patient status and document patients' response to intervention.
• Evaluate patients' vascular access during treatment including arterial and venous monitoring pressures provide appropriate intervention as needed document and report any unusual findings to the nurse supervisor.
• Obtain all prescribed laboratory testing and prepare specimens for collection.

MAINTENANCE/TECHNICAL:

• Maintain environmental integrity and aesthetics - ensure all areas are safe and clean.
• Clean and disinfect dialysis machine surface chair equipment and surrounding area between treatments according to facility policy.
• Conduct all tasks necessary for preparation for dialysis treatment and document where appropriate.
• Perform all required pretreatment dialysis machine alarm testing including Pressure Holding (PHT).
• Initiate Solution Delivery System (SDS) system. 
• Ensure that all blood spills are immediately cleaned with appropriate disinfectant according to facility policy.
• Prepare organize and efficiently utilize supplies and equipment to prevent wastage.

CLERICAL & ADMINISTRATIVE:

• Complete and document ongoing participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities. 
• Enters all treatment data into the designated clinical application accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review treatment sheets for completeness ensure nursing signatures are documented and ensure omitted entries are completed or corrected where appropriate.
• Prepare initial patient chart for admission and compile paperwork for appropriate placement in chart.
• Prepare lab requisitions for prescribed or stat Lab specimens according to laboratory destination.
• Collect label appropriately prepare and store lab samples according required laboratory specifications.
• Ensure collection of lab specimens by appropriate lab courier.

OTHER:

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Assisting the HT RN:

• May assist HT RN on Home Visit as directed
• Reinforces  PD / HHD education under supervision of qualified HT RN

The Field Service Specialist is responsible for providing on-site service sanitation (cleaning) needs for the Cadence Valve Service business during the duration of each project mobilization. Duties and responsibilities include assisting team members with both operational setup and tear down of cleaning station, managing operation and maintenance of cleaning equipment, both steam and ultrasonic parts washer, and managing inventory of needed shop supplies required for each project, including all consumables associated with conducting an efficient sanitation operation during onsite operations.  

Responsibilities 

·         Work with other Cadence team members to perform on-site valve rebuilds.

·         Performing unpacking of shipment deliveries during non-project office hours.

·         Assist team members in project preparation including, confirmation of packing list to the parts received and the purchase order. 

·         Assist in inventory replenishment orders, in a timely manner, to ensure they are received and stored in the proper warehouse location. 

·         Assist in cycle counts to ensure the integrity of inventory levels reflected in the system. 

·         Managing shipment requirements, such as “ship complete”, “freight collect”, “partial shipments”, etc. 

·         Schedule trucks for LTL and dedicated Truckload shipments of projects to maintain project deadlines. 

·         Prepare large equipment shipments of pumps, valves, heat exchangers, etc for shipment by building crates and frames to protect the product during shipping.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Provides direct nursing care pre, during and post procedure, under the direction of the Facility Manager, Director of Nursing and/or Charge Registered Nurse, utilizing standard nursing techniques to assist the physician in optimum patient outcomes following facility policies and procedures.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALITY:

• Responsible for supporting and driving organization quality standards through meeting regulatory and accrediting body requirements and the practice of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), including use of CQI tools.
• Assists with implementation of organization quality goals and facility specific action plans in order to achieve organization quality standards.
• Accountable for outstanding quality of patient care, as defined by the organization quality goals, to ensure that organization policies and procedures are followed.
• Responsible for addressing and acting on adverse events and action thresholds in collaboration with facility management.

PATIENT:

• Obtains necessary medical history, discusses procedure and answers questions, and performs nursing assessment on the day of the procedure.
• Provides education to patients and patient’s family regarding post procedure care of vascular access.
• Monitors patient condition before, during and after the procedure, especially patients having moderate sedation and contrast media injections for possible complications or reactions.
• Acts as a resource for the patient to address patient concerns and questions.
• Identifies and communicates patient related issues to facility management, as needed.
• Completes documentation of patient information from admission to discharge in an accurate manner.
• Confirm written orders, consents and lab work are completed and documented in accordance with facility policies. This includes appropriate preparation of lab requisitions; delivery to appropriate labs; reporting and forwarding of lab results to appropriate physician.
• Maintains competency with all emergency operational procedures, and initiates CPR and emergency measures, as needed.
• Administers medications and IV moderate sedation to patients as directed per physician’s orders, and in compliance with organization, company, federal, state and local regulations.
• Acts as scrub technologist to assist the physician during procedure as needed, maintaining a sterile technique.
• Assists with patient workflow by transporting patients as needed.
• Performs point – of – care laboratory testing as directed per physician’s orders and in compliance with organization, company, federal, state and local regulations.
• Performs IV insertion as per physician orders.
• Performs additional tasks as designated by Physician, practicing in compliance with state regulations.

PHYSICIANS:

• Provides regular and effective communication with physicians on an as needed basis.
• Attends and participates in CQI meetings with physicians, reporting on assigned topics.
• May assist facility management in working with the physicians and staff to verify all necessary instruments and equipment.
• Assists the physician in completing and reporting state required adverse event reports and reporting internally as per organization/FMC policy and procedure.

MAINTENANCE/TECHNICAL:

• Operates appropriate facility equipment and technology, including but not limited to, patient monitors, defibrillators, medical recording devices, sterilizers and computers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Inspects operation of all facility equipment and reports malfunctions, and maintenance needs to ensure the safe and effective operation of all vascular access equipment.
• Inspects operation of all facility operating systems, including temperature checks in appropriate areas and physical structure of the facility and reports any issues to the Facility Manager.
• Ensures a clean, safe and sanitary environment in the vascular access facility at all times.
• Ensures all blood spills are immediately addressed according to the organization/FMCNA Bloodborne Pathogen Control Policies.

ADMINISTRATIVE:

• Assists with efficient utilization of medication, laboratory, inventory, supplies and equipment to achieve supply cost goals following all guidelines established in the organization formularies.
• May assist in the development and revision of any applicable policies and procedures related to the facility to ensure continuous process improvement.
• Assists with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities including monthly reports and attending meetings as required.
• Assists with maintaining medication supply, including inventory control, checking for expired medications, and ensuring appropriate recording of controlled substances as required by law.
• Completes usage logs for all medications with appropriate documentation, as well as, records of drug disposal in accordance with local, state, and federal law. 
• Assists with maintaining facility supply inventory, including ordering and restocking of supplies as needed.
• Examines emergency equipment and supplies, including stocking of the crash cart on a regular basis.
• Completes medical records in an accurate manner in compliance with organization policies and procedures prior to discharge of the patient.  Perform chart audits on a regular basis.
• May participate in facility regulatory and accreditation surveys and action plans to address any deficiencies.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a member of the nephrology healthcare team, you will provide safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

• Patrols campus parking areas and roads on foot and in a vehicle enforcing parking regulations; issues parking violations to any illegally parked vehicle (including motorcycles and motor scooters), using a cellular phone and accompanying app. Is on the lookout for lost, stolen, or counterfeit parking permits, and takes necessary enforcement action if found. Ensures free flow of traffic to allow emergency response (police/ambulance/fire).
• Supports special parking arrangements on campus for large and special events.
• Utilizes a computer, hand-held device to issue citations and take pictures depicting the violation, where vehicle was parked, and whether a current permit is correctly placed on the vehicle; operates a two-way radio as a means of communication.
• rives a parking vehicle, getting in and out of the vehicle and or starting and stopping the vehicle frequently.
• Performs maintenance on parking meters and/or parking kiosks.
• Provides transport for department documents.
• Collects revenue from parking meters and parking kiosks.
• Attaches and removes vehicle immobilization devices when necessary.
• Places hoods on parking meters for reserved parking (and removes hoods); posts signage, and places barricades to regulate reserved parking for special situations.

We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon as a Senior Digital Product Manager focusing on Engineering and Support experience within the Digital Health Technology Foundational services organization. As we accelerate design and development of new and innovative digital health products at Alcon, a dedicated product manager focusing on software engineering and support experience for the engineer persona is critical for aligning product development with the needs of engineering teams, optimizing processes, enhancing user experience, providing effective support, and fostering continuous improvement. In this role, you will oversee the standardization of DevOps practices, adoption of leading-edge software tools, and drive process improvements for production support metrics and SLAs as new digital health products are deployed to our customers. This role requires strong collaboration and communication with various cross-functional teams including Digital Health Product/Engineering, R&D, IT and Digital Operations, in support of Alcon’s Global Digital Transformation. This will be in our Fort Worth, Texas office and a typical day will include:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for engineering and support experience across all Digital Health Foundational Services, integrating DevOps practices and leading-edge software tools adoption.
• Work closely with engineering teams to standardize DevOps practices, identify and adopt cutting-edge software tools, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure Digital Health Foundational Services.
• Lead efforts to improve the customer support experience, including process improvements, revamping L3/L4 production support metrics and SLAs, to ensure timely and effective resolution of customer issues for newly deployed digital health products.
• Collaborate with Digital Health, R&D, IT and regional/service teams to prioritize features, enhancements, and bug fixes based on customer feedback, business impact, and technical feasibility.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including executive leadership, to provide updates on the status of engineering and support initiatives, key metrics, and strategic direction.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to engineering and support experience, analyze data to find opportunities for improvement, and drive continuous optimization efforts.
• Perform regular product demos with the larger cross-functional team.
• Stay current with the latest trends in digital health and modern Software engineering tools and practices

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school+15 yrs; Assoc.+11 yrs; M.S.+4 yrs; PhD+3 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• 7 years of related experience
