Included but are not limited to:
- The Assistant Nurse Manager reports directly to the Nurse Manager of Urgent Care. The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for the oversight of daily operations of the department in the absence of the Nurse Manager.
- The Assistant Nurse Manager assumes responsibility for staffing and scheduling of permanent and supplemental nursing staff and ensures that assignments of the staff reflect their appropriate utilization, compliance with staffing guidelines, and The Joint Commission standards. This includes weekend rotation schedule of staff as well as holiday and yearly vacation schedule for RN staff.
- Manages clinical issues, performance improvement activities, customer service and safety and satisfaction including any follow up.
- Assist the Nurse Manager with statistical daily and monthly Urgent Care data Collection.
- Actively participates in Hospital Committees.
- Assist the Nurse Manger in all issues affecting nursing including standards of practice, credentialing, training, yearly competencies, functional statements, position descriptions, proficiency reports, performance appraisals, policies, procedures, protocols, and competencies.
- Cover as bedside RN in the Urgent care if needed to support proper staffing.
- Manage and run patient reports and audits, complete the proper follow up as well as proper documentation.
- Equip staff with tools for culturally competent care and promotes a culture of accountability for high-quality, cost-effective outcomes.
- Provide leadership in day-to-day operations and input into the strategic planning process for the attainment of organizational goals
