The role of this Personal Care Assistant:

Our personal care assistants join our client’s support team, providing reliable, essential care and support in their home. You will be employed by HomeCareDirect on behalf of the client and your focus will be to support them only. This role is to work in our clients own home in Woodingdean, Brighton on a rota to cover hours across every day. We have full and part-time hours available.



About the Client and Duties:

Our client is a beautiful young woman who needs assistance with all aspects of daily care including personal care.


As her personal care assistant, you will be supporting her to get the most out of life. Our client enjoys horse-riding, trampolining, shopping, walking…and anything else adventurous!


Ideally you will be bubbly and outgoing with a great personality and should be up for encouraging our client to get the best out of everything. Previous care experience would be preferred.


Drivers are required and you should be aged over 25yrs of age for insurance purposes.


Training and Support:

We provide comprehensive, paid training to CQC standards covering:
Full induction
Safeguarding Adults
Health & Safety and First aid
Moving & Handling via Hoist
Gastrostomy and Medication via PEG
Personal Care and Continence Care
Awareness in Epilepsy, Learning Disabilities, Autism and Cerebral Palsy
All training must be completed before the start date and is paid at £14.33 per hour

Care Assistant - Nights - The Pines Nursing Home in Hove, near Brighton, Part of The Country Court Family
Hours: Nights, 33 Hours per week, working weekends on rota (Shift Times - 20:00 to 08:00)

ABOUT THE CARE ASSISTANT ROLE
Within the Care Assistant role, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Your responsibilities will include:

Helping our residents with personal support and care
Aiding their emotional well-being and social needs
Supporting residents at meals time
Interacting with our residents on a personal level
Maintaining and developing the residents care plan to ensure their needs are met

ABOUT YOU
Our fantastic staff are at the heart of our homes & provide vital day-to-day support to our residents, so we would love to hear from those who really do want to make a difference to people’s lives.

Be no stranger to working long shifts
Have good written & verbal communication skills
Able to engage well with the residents and their families
Have an understanding of people with Dementia.
Experience as a Care Assistant is preferred but not essential
Have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social care or be willing to work towards this.
