An exciting opportunity is available for both Trainee and qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioners to join our multi-disciplinary team at Wythenshawe Hospital Emergency Department, part of the Emergency Care Village Division.
Qualified practitioners will be an advanced level independent practitioner and work autonomously, using expert advanced clinical skills to diagnose, treat and discharge patients under the care of the Emergency Department.
Trainee practitioners will be supported with fully funded training to obtain your MSc in Advanced Practice. We are keen to appoint a trainee advanced practitioner with previous Emergency Department experience and clinical skills wishing to progress their career in Emergency Care.
The successful candidate will be provided with a robust induction and personal development plan to meet their professional development needs whilst working closely with the Consultant Nurse and Consultant Body.
The successful candidate will be based in the state of the art Emergency Department at Wythenshawe Hospital working between Majors, Resus, Urgent Treatment Centre for both Minor Illness and Injury, and the Children’s Emergency Unit with its own Resus room and observation area.
Advanced Clinical Practitioners will be given an educational and clinical Consultant supervisor who with the Consultant Nurse will provide guidance and feedback on a monthly basis whilst developing your portfolio, working towards credentialing and enhancing your clinical skills providing safe and appropriate patient care.
This role will be pivotal in providing clinical expertise in the delivery of the future models of care for greater Manchester.
For Trainee candidates, on completion of the ACP training, the post will progress from Band 7 to Band 8a.
