Responsibilities & Duties

Climate change is the defining challenge of our time, shaping the health of populations for generations to come. Purpose of the post

We invite applications for a highly motivated Research Assistant to work with the Principal Investigator and study team members to manage and conduct various research projects towards sustainable medicine, ensuring successful and timely completion of projects. This post has a specific focus on supporting the Centre’s research on understanding and quantifying the environmental impacts of healthcare products and clinical pathways.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The individual will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Develop new models and methodologies to account for the environmental impacts of health systems. The individual will develop skills in data collection, carbon footprinting, cost-benefit analysis, life cycle analysis, monitoring and reporting, scenario development, forecasting, and policy appraisal.
• Assist in evaluating the environmental impact of healthcare products and clinical pathways using a range of approaches including carbon footprints and broader life cycle assessment.

• Engage in a variety of research-related activities including literature searches and reviewing, preparation of research materials, data collection, entry, analysis, and interpretation using in accordance with the highest research standards.

The Research Assistant who will play a key role in assisting in the development, execution and analysis of research aimed at addressing the challenges of training and operating in rising ambient temperatures. The successful candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary group comprising exercise and thermal physiologists, data scientists, biomedical engineers and researchers. This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to not only develop your expertise in research planning and execution, but also to be a part of the team looking to generate fundamental and forward-looking solutions to working in the heat.

• Conduct Cell Therapy platform (CellChain) training sessions for hospital centers, making sure that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively utilize the platform.
• Manage external user access to the Cell Therapy platform (CellChain), ensuring data security and compliance.
• Enhance team skills and operational excellence by promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Ensure subject matter expertise to maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise in their subject area, providing informed guidance and support to stakeholders.

Commercial setting:

• Provide patient services such as travel assistance to patients and their care givers, as applicable.
• Coordinate local cryopreservation logistics and payment process, as applicable.
• Oversight of the local release, logistics and system transactions process related to shipment via distribution depot, as applicable
• Coordinate and contribute to cross-functional commercial meetings, by collaborating with multiple stakeholders to address topics such as product requests, market trends, and customer needs and insights.
• Own the Product Request process for all sites’ onboarding and ensure accuracy of the master data set-up.
• Support with regulatory, RMP and outcomes-based reporting, as applicable based on local country requirements.

Clinical trial setting:

• Create and execute the End-to-End operational treatment process to fit the trial design and protocol.
• Support pan-Therapeutic Area (TA) set up and roll out in close collaboration with the cross-functional clinical trial teams.
• Participate in Site Initiation Visits (SIV) in collaboration with internal stakeholders to support timely site readiness for First Patient First Visit (FPFV). This involves ensuring smooth onboarding processes, correct master data set-up and providing support to external users.
• Manage slot requests and communicate key milestone timelines to both external and internal stakeholders. This includes coordinating with various teams to ensure smooth and efficient scheduling.
• Key gatekeeper for critical KPIs: DtD/VtD. Work closely with cross-functional clinical trial teams in supporting clinical trial protocols and the respective vein-to-door and door-to-door metrics.

Essential Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree minimum.
• Work Experience: +5 years in customer support (service) in healthcare industry.
• Laguage: Native level of Korean is a must, Fluency in English is a must, Business proficiency in Chinese is preferred, Business proficiency in Japanese is preferred.
• Supply chain / logistics experience is highly preferred.
• Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare business service offerings and customer needs.
• Strong track record of successful team collaboration and delivery of results.

1. Provide on-going application support and be involved in various stages of the SDLC.

2. Evaluate potential solutions and make recommendations to resolve business problems.

3. Involvement in the system integration testing phase prior to implementation.

4. Plan and coordinate end-user testing for any bug-fixes implementations.

5. Liaise closely with business users and build good rapport.

6. Liaise closely with the vendor (Avanade) that requires delivery of permanent fix due to PROD incidents.

7. Support the team in monitoring and tracking ticket's SLA.

8. Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Candidate should have:

- At least 1-5 years of healthcare IT experience

- A team player and also able to work independently.

- Possess excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and conflict resolution skills with proven ability to translate complex, technical subjects into clear and concise communications to a variety of key stakeholders of different levels.
